Q: Hi 5i Team.

I have some names in my TFSA account such as ATD, ATX and ENGH (and maybe some others) that are laggers and would like to move out of them and into something with potentially higher returns.
I also own the other names mentioned above.
What are your thoughts and could you recommend 3 to 5 Canadian and/or US names with the reasons and entry points.
also own NVDA that has grown to a huge percentage of the account.
I know that I should sell some but it has been such a great performer.

Q: Peter; Not sure if you’re aware that PKI is running an ad here (BC) asking for bids on 157 of their convenience/gas stores across Canada. Maybe ATD is weak because they’re planning a bid and might need to raise money.

Q: ATD has had a nice run lately. I have held this company for a long time now and it is very steady. Current weight is 5.3% of my portfolio, but that and PBH are my Consumer defensive positions which are in line with analytic recommendations.

Any good reason to trim or trade at this time?

Or a recommend weight?

Only logic on a trade is it seems to go up settle down for a while and then marches back up. Not something I normally do, but an option.

Q: In anticipation of a possible recession in the near future, I would like to slowly tweak a few of my holdings. Could you please list some of the best sectors to hold in a recession, and if possible, list a few excellent Canadian companies in each sector and perhaps some US stocks. What may be the worst sectors to hold in a recession? Sorry, this is a big question, but one that I think many members may be thinking about.

Q: Hi 5i Team,
In general I follow 5i Balance Equity Portfolio. Lately, I went through comparing my portfolio to 5i Balance portfolio I found that I have to add the following stocks BDGI,PKI and SHOP and I am under weight on AEM,ATD,ATZ,BAM.A,CCL, ENB,TFII. Can you please advise in order which stock consider a good buy at this time.
Also, Can you please advise good buying stocks from the Growth Portfolio.

Q: It seems to me that going forward inflation worries are real. Assuming my thesis is correct, I have read that one way for investors to protect their portfolios is to buy companies with "pricing power". What exactly is pricing power and can you give me a list of Canadian and American companies that currently have the most pricing power.

Q: My recent question about defensive growth stocks - let me rephrase it as I was after growth in defensive sectors . In defensive sectors I would appreciate your advice on top 3 growth stocks within each sector for 5-10 year hold. For example, in staples sector, could you advise top 3: COST, ATD, MED, CELH, PEP, MDLZ, BYD, DRVN, MNRO, or others. Q: I currently hold in my portfolio symbols ,WISH,ECOM,PHA,VXTR,CVX ,IPAand MRS
They have all gone down recently, do you think Ishould hold on to these stocks for long term growth

I am thinking of adding TCL ATD and AX.UN to my portfolio , what are your thoughts on these stocks . do they still have more upside to them
