Q: Good Day,

With the end of the year approaching and the US poking the tarriff bear again (pun... intended?), do you see more selling/profit taking coming in the end of the year?

It seems many names have either been hit by these latest developments, have unsubstantiated short report attacks, or have no news declines. What are some of your favourite names right now that have solid outlooks/execution and some real potential for strong recovery? Say 10 names, mix of Canada and US with attractive entry prices?

Secondly, what would be your main buy targets likely to see tax loss selling? What would be an attractive entry price for them?

No need for megacap names, I'm well represented there.

Q: Is recent question I asked was only partially answered. The question was asked by Tim on Oct 8. Here is your response:
Our top five for a growth investor with a long-term timeframe would be: SHOP ($220 if possible), BN ($91-$93), TRI ($190 to $200), CSU ($3800), TD ($105 to $110) /BNS ($85).

The part of the question not answered was whether these large cap stocks would be suitable for a tfsa. I have been using small caps mostly, but now am wanting to get more conservative. Thanks very much

Q: I've held TFII for many years and it's treated me very well. But not so lately. When do you see turnaround? What might the stock be worth in 6 months and 1 year? Trying to decide whether to stick it out or sell some and hedge my position a bit. What might you suggest as a replacement that has growth potential. Dividends aren't important.l

Q: I have $10k to invest and I want to buy some stocks (Canadian or CDR) that are underpriced.

I was thinking to invest in TRI, MDA, TFII, TVK and GSY. Maybe Amzn.

For a 3 year hold, how would you rank these stocks? Any other suggestions.

Q: Wanting to diversify my bank stocks heavy cash account into more growth opportunities over the last couple of years , I have added BN, LMN, GSY ( and have done well , thanks ).
I have followed FSV and TFI for years , never buying. Basically , both were too expensive in my eyes. However I now see FSV as an asset light company with blowout earnings and TFI a company with strong management caught in a cyclical downturn. Which would be your next purchase and why ? Thanks. Derek

Q: Any news behind the 5%+ gain on Friday. Stock has slowly gained back some of its losses since reporting a horrible Q4 2024 where management spelled out severe impact of freight recession and loss of market share.
