Q: I hold the above within a RRIF. In total they are now worth $49K cost was $64K, current income approx $2K.

What do you think about selling them all and reinvesting in AAPL, MSFT, BRK and AMZN. Any alternatives you can suggest. I don't mind forgoing the income.

Q: Can you provide a 'buy' list for a person wanting to deploy $200,000 (inside RRSP) with the goal of creating 5% or more sustained cash flow - as well as growing the original capital to keep up with inflatiion? We do not have company pensions - this would serve to supplement our government pensions.
Thinking, 20 stocks across all sectors @ $10,000 each (or 5%)
Also could you include 10 growth stocks (inside TFSA) for a total of $250,000 - gotta have some fun ;)
Many Thanks
Jan

I am looking for your recommendations on good dividend paying stocks. Stocks which have come under pressure due to market conditions. Stocks that are low risk and do not have high debt. I am mostly interest in income stocks but would also like a stock that would give me some capital gains. I have listed these and would appreciate rating these. Please also provide me with any other tickers you feel would fit my needs here which I may not have thought about.

Thank you.

Q: I have some money in my RRSP and would like to buy some US stocks. Could you recommend your top picks you think are priced to buy now, which gives 3% or more dividend. Also any you would wait on, and what price point you would enter. Thanks so much!

Q: Hello Peter,

I am thinking of trimming CVS in half back to 5% of my portfolio and switching to one of these 3: Walgreens, Loblaws or Metro.

Your thought, please. Thank you!

Q: Hi 5i,
I know you haven’t been big fans of WBA due to their debt load. They had a decent earnings beat today, boosted by Covid vaccinations. They took a majority interest in Village MD to open more health clinics attached to their drugstores. They are also considering exiting the sale of tobacco products.
What are your thoughts on WBA these days with this renewed health focus?
Thanks again.

Q: Peter, if with the reopening there is a shift in interest from growth into value stocks which Cdn/US stocks are best positioned on the value side ? In the US would you include Berkshire on the value side due to it sweighting in the Financials etc ? Would you agree with the strategy to shift from growth to value ? Thank you.

Q: Appreciate your best advice regarding selling half of my large position of Visa and purchasing Walgreen's in my cash account. Anticipating Walgreen's will be very involved in providing vaccinations. Or better to stay with a large concentration of Visa with the economic recovery (hopefully) in USA. What is Walgreen's dividend? Thanks for your valuable input/advice as always.

Q: If you were entering new money today to try to yield at least 4 or 5 percent, what would be your top 5-10 dividend income stocks in Canada that you feel would be a safe hold for at least ten years? Alternatively, what would be your top dividend stocks in the U.S. obviously yielding less?
