Q: My CNQ is down $1400 today. Is it time to replace it with a top up of CVX and XOM? Shoiuld NXF-B also be replaced? It may not seem to be affected by the Venezuela takeover as there are no Canadian companies being held. Please take as many credits as required.
As an addendum to my previous question, NXF-B may indeed hold Canadian oil co. Thus is it a sell now due to the Venezuelan takeover? If so please suggest a replacement. Eighty year old value dividend investor. I also gol CVX and XOM. Just add to those?

Q: With the United States interim (??) takeover of Venezuela, what US publicly listed interests do you see as benefitting. Initial thoughts are the obvious oil and related infrastructure companies, shipping co's etc. Additionally, what companies have the capacity to handle extraction, refining etc the heavy grade that Venezuela pumps (if refined elsewhere)? Q: Nat Gas:
I hold ~1% each of ARX and TOU. Also, ~5% XOM, which is also a major gas producer.
I don't have much confidence in this liberal gov't's promises of gas development. Would you recommend a US gas producer, and if so, which one?

Q: Good morning, I am presently down about 30% and wondering whether to just let it be, and wait for a comeback at some point, or sell and deploy funds elsewhere, and if so, what might you suggest as an alternative, keeping in mind that if I sell and invest elsewhere, I would need to make about 50% just to get back to breakeven on my original OXY investment. Q: Similar to my last question, but looking to the US, I am interested in having a group of companies that are great companies and want to develop a grouping of these -whether they have a dividend or not, as part of my portfolio. Companies that have a competitive advantage, great leadership, quality assets, not too high debt and continue to execute with continuous improvement.
