Not investment advice or solicitation to buy/sell securities. Do your own due diligence and/or consult an advisor.

Q: Have some cash available to add to one or 2 of the following: CLS, DOL, DOO, GIB.A, IFC, QSR, STN, TIH. For a purchase at the current price, please rank from 1 through 8, for total return over the next 3 - 5 years. I believe you are pretty positive about each of these companies. No concerns about sector allocation.

Q: A number of these companies have done very well recently while others have not. Could you rate these as Buy/Hold/Sell and for those you consider a buy, could you provide what you feel is a good entry point.

Thank you
Tim

Q: In a registered account I would like to do some money recycling and choose 2 to depart from and recycle back into the others. HPS.A with 4% weighting and GSY at 6%. WELL is (well below) purchase price and although I still believe in the company the others might do better with a 5 years horizon but maybe not, your take. Could you identify the 2 you would let go and where would you recycle money into with a 1-5 preference, 1 beeing where you would add the most and 5 you would put the least. Having said all of that the total portfolio is much bigger and the position size of all of the above except for HPS and GSY are in the 1-2% range.

Thank you

Q: I have listed a number of companies you like. Most of the companies named have done well (some very well).

Do you consider all these names a Buy at current levels? From the list what would be your 5 favorite stocks?

Thanks

Q: Hello 5i,

Thank you for taking time to answer so many questions on top stocks to own or purchase. We read through questions on ranking popular stocks but we were not able to formulate a priority list of CDN and US small cap stocks, especially with so many rising quickly in the last couple of months.

Based on current valuations, risk, growth potential, and management, in what order would you purchase the stocks below for a 2-5 year hold? If there are too many stocks, can you please list your top 10 or 12 in priority from the list?

ACLS, ACMR, AXON, CELH, DOO, ESTC, GSY, HPS.A, INMD, LMN, OPRA, NXT, PATH, PLTR, SMCI, VRT

Thank you

Q: My wife and I have accumulated a fair amount of cash in our RRSP we would now like to invest. We have at least 5 years time horizon. We are well represented in Oil, Banks, Tech., financial. We have some reits as well. Not much retail or healthcare. We like growth and dividends and not too concerned about higher weightings in the right industries (we are considering more banks and tech, as well as minerals for batteries). We have about 40K which is about 10% of our portfolio. What would you consider good value right now? It seems many tech stocks are priced very high right now so would you avoid tech at the moment? Can you suggest 5 value stocks? Thanks.

Q: Hello, can you suggest 5 consumer stocks and 5 industrial stocks, either in Canada and US, with a brief reason for each suggestion. I am trying to re-balance my portfolio and I am overweight in tech right now. Thanks!

Q: Hello Peter and 5i team,
My TFSA contains the aforementioned stocks in roughly even percentages except for nominal investments in Park Lawn and DRX. I would like to make my annual contribution to one or some of these companies and would like to know what your order of preference would be for buys/adds at this time. Please also include Celestica in your considerations.
Also, are there any companies in this list that you would consider undervalued at this time?
Thank you.

Q: Would there be a dilution in DOO after the Bain capital deal ? How much ? Yahoo finance listed the earning report date for CSU as March 6 2024, and Feb 6 2024 for TOI. Is there a mistake ? Or is CSU going to give out some more good news ?

Q: Hi,

These are some names that I hold that are smaller weights in my portfolio (<2%) and I would like to add to my positions. From comments, I think all of them are solid going forward and some have run hard, such as HPS.A, TVK, CRWD...The thing I've struggled with before is adding to names at the wrong time after they've had a good run and then the market turns and your gains turn into losses. How do you approach these situations and when do you decide to add to a starter position.

Would you be comfortable adding to any of these names at the current prices and can you rank which ones you would add to first?

With the market at record levels, I'm a bit more gun shy of doing so but I think on any market pullback, I would add to any of these names. Would you agree?

I remember a question you answered recently about increasing the avg. cost base vs the % of the position when adding. So for example, I bought HPS.A at $50 and now its $93 for a nice gain, however it's only 1.5% of my portfolio now. So if you are comfortable with a 3% position, do I just add now to get to that 3% even with the run that its had? Or wait for a nice pullback, which of course is impossible to predict. I try not to anchor prices and of course the buyers today are forward looking and expect good things to continue. How do you approach this? Thanks!
