Q: How would you rank the listed companies at current levels for new positions in a growth oriented portfolio?

Q: I had shares of NV5 Global that are now Acuren. Shares are up 50% in the past month or so. Would you continue to hold or is there another small cap industrial that you prefer?

Q: Current thoughts on NXT in relation to green energy (solar) on a global (non-U.S) context?
Are they leaders in their particular field?
Long term aspects/outlook?

Q: What are your thoughts on a buy now since you reviewed it over a year ago?

Q: In regards to Jerry’s green energy question I think he should consider NXT which seems to be a “best in its class” company. They are part of a new large project in Greece. The stock was recommended by 5i and hit a new high today. I bought some based on your recommendation so thanks very much!

Q: Has 5i screened for US-listed shares that are likely to be candidates for tax-loss selling now to end of year 2024? Has 5i done a blog or magazine article or other post identifying US-companies that you would consider attractive to buy? I assume that such a screen would exclude US companies that are being sold off for reasons other than tax-loss harvesting. Thank you. :ao:sab

Q: I have some cash that I would like to put to work and I have small positions that I would like to reduce. My main objective is growth with a bias towards low beta equities at this time in my work life. I am about 4 years away from my planned retirement.

These are most of my held equities along with weightings. NVDA 13.3% CSU 6.4% BN 6.4% SAN 5.4% SHOP 4.8% CRWD 4.3% TOI 3.8% VRT 3.4% ENB 3.2% BIP-UN 2.6% BEP-UN 2.3%. The following are 1-2% positions 13.5% as group; COST TD ATZ BNS AMZN TTD PANW PRL BRK.B. The rest are< 1%/each approx 10% as group BCE ASML HPS-A TMDX ISRG TMO GSY ASPN DELL SNOW NXT.

I plan on continuing to hold most of these positions including the smaller positions (<2% positions). I would like to reduce the number of these smaller holdings.
Could you please rank these smaller positions with the keepers at one end of the spectrum to goers at the the opposite end of the spectrum.

Q: Lots of volatility based on the election results. This may be too early to ask, but are there any stocks that have risen (or fallen) too much on fundamentals as a result of the election? Looking for potential sell (or buy) opportunities if you think appropriate.

Q: Thank you for your answer to my last question about NXT a little while ago, that turned out to be a good call. Following earnings the other day, the share price has popped up a bit and then again today. I am still down 20% in a taxable account and am considering selling for the tax loss. I know you do not talk about technical analysis in the Q & A but for the next short while do you see where the share price might go?

Q: Hello 5i,

Thank you for answering my question yesterday. We are looking at replacing CELH (-50%), CTRA (-3%), and NXT (-23%) in a TFSA or RRSP. From our question yesterday we would replace these stocks with CECO, ASPN, & AVAV (TMDX was purchased yesterday. Is your conviction higher on CELH over CECO, ASPN, & AVAV, or ISRG?
