Q: Hello 5i,
I own all the above stocks and have ridden them up and down in this market, so my risk tolerance is fairly high.
Could rank them for future growth and survivability? Also, If I were to consolidate the five into two or three what might you recommend?
Thank you
Dave

Q: UPST has been a disappointing stock. In my TFSA, there is no opportunity for tax loss harvesting here. What US alternates would you suggest, not necessarily in the same category, that may give excellent growth potential in a market turnaround?

Q: I have significant losses in these companies. I don't need tax losses.

Should I average down on these companies or is there any of these companies that I should sell and move on?

Q: I invested some speculative capital in the above companies last year in a taxable account. Terrible timing. As we near the end of the year, I plan to sell some of these for tax loss harvesting and use the funds to average down in the others. Which would you sell and which would you average down?
Also somewhat related to this is the fact that I feel as much as thereís a good buying opportunities in some U.S. stocks right now, the high U.S. dollar makes it hard for me to convert CAD funds to USD. Am I right to hold off on currency conversion for now?

Q: I am planning to sell these names for tax-loss. Should I buy a replacement for each to protect against a turnaround in the next 30 days, or do you think I'm better off holding the cash for that period given the current outlook for equities. If you still recommend replacements can you offer a suggestion for each - or perhaps only for some? Thanks.

Q: Hi 5i Team - I hold the above stocks in three small U.S. accounts. I plan to keep NVDA, QCOM, AMZN, GOOG. My holdings in the other six are minimal due to the general sell-off over the past year: CRWD, UCTT, U, APPS, ROKU, UPST. I would like to combine these 6 into two, three at the maximum. Could you suggest which two or three should be kept. Or might it be best to sell all six and start over with a couple of different ones. My investment focus is growth with a three year timeline. Since it's the end of the week the answer can wait until sometime next week.
Thanks.

Q: Hello 5i Team,

I'm wondering if you can suggest a higher risk growth stock with better short-medium term bounce potential than Unity. It seems that the shine is off of the metaverse theme for the time being, and I am down about 74% on this stock since it was in favour. Or, do you think I should consider it a hold? Thanks.
Brad

Q: I am down >75% on each of these 3 stocks over the past 1+ years. I still have faith in the businesses though, and have a very longterm time horizon. I'm not looking to sell and rather, wondering if each/all of them would be worth adding to (at these significantly lower prices) if looking for long term gains? Thank you.

Q: Hi Peter and staff,

On Sep. 13 I asked about possible new purchases, and one of the recommendations was UPST. So I'm looking at the chart and it looks like it's on a free fall for the last year, although it has stabilized recently.
I went back and checked on past Q&A and your view was not positive for UPST. You recommended AFRM over UPST and you mentioned that the fundamentals and potential have deteriorated.
I also checked and it appears that right now there are 2 Buys, 6 Holds and 1 underperform.
Just wondering what new information you have that would make this a buy.

As always thank you for your advice.

Joe

Q: Morning 5i team, thanks for all the great advice you supply to the members.
I have $50K to invest and would like your advice. This is what Iím currently holding in my non registered account.

Canada
AC, BYD, GSY, LSPD, SHOP, TDB3098, TOI
US
AAPL, SQ, CRWD, CSX, ETSY, MA, MSFT, NVDA, PYPL, UXI, ROBO, U

Considering my high exposure to Tech and your last market update, I might need to consider more consumer cyclical and financial stocks as well as others to balance the portfolio. Iím looking to have a mix of growth and value holdings.

I would appreciate your recommendations on new Canadian or US acquisitions and possible entry points. Can you recommend one of two of the US Tech stocks to sell and replace it with GOOG.

Please take as many credits a you see fit.

Thanks
Joe

Q: Peter, for a portion of my portfolio Iím looking for companies with 8-10 bagger potential over the medium term, say 3 years. Please provide your 5 best cdn. and u.s. names for such potential gains. Regards Greg

Q: I got caught in the recent drop with too much US tech. I have positions in these companies, all down more than 50%. I don't need to consolidate, but could if it means a stronger recovery. Looking toward a recovery in the market, do you see any holdings that have a lesser chance of recovery, that should be sold to add to another position that has a better chance of recovery? Thanks!

Q: My daughter opened her first TFSA a few years ago. She is planning on using it to save for retirement, so has a very long time horizon. She has 25% in ZSP (S&P 500 ETF) and 15% in XIT (Canadian technology ETF). Together we chose some fun stocks to complete her portfolio. We are happy with most of our picks Ė Disney (DIS), Crowdstrike (CRWD), Intuitive Surgical (ISRG), Snowflake (SNOW) and CN Rail (CN). But we are wondering about four Ė Twilio (TWLO), Etsy (ESTY), Paypal (PYPL) and Upstart (UPST). All have dropped since she bought, but what do you think of the longer term potential of these? Would you swap any out? If so, for what?

Thanks,
Kim
