Q: Modest amount of funds in trust for teenagers. Plan to sell Alteryx at small loss. What would you suggest for USD purchase please? I was looking @ VTRS. Not keen on debt levels but will it provide downside protection in this volatile market? Time horizon 1.5 years. Could you also please identify growth oriented names. VEEV already owned. Also ETF ideas to look @ please. Please deduct question credits as appropriate.

Q: Good Morning 5i Team,

I'm trying to pair down the number of growth stocks I own. From this list, which two would you have the most confidence in for growth potential over the next three years and which two the least. Thanks very much.

Q: I am considering selling U (down 24% in my TFSA) and replacing it with one of the following: WELL, NVEI, DOCU, MED, or APPS. Please rank in order of preference if purchased today. Can I assume all of the above stocks would likely have higher rates of growth than U and that the sale of U would thus be justified?

Thank you.

Q: Hi Awesome 5i team, I have some cash to invest, in Canada, I am thinking of "AT", "GSY" &"CTS", some of these names are at all time high, could you please rank them from risk/growth perspective. Given recent volatility of the market, could you please provide a good entry point if you will.

For US, please also provide three names that are growth oriented, and three reflationary driven. All are for long term investment.

Q: Hi,

These stocks listed make up the core position of my Canadian and US holdings.

Would you consider this list to be a good one for a 3-5 year plus time horizon? I am able to tolerate high risk .

Q: My wife and I are each opening up a TFSA with 75000 initial deposit in each account. We are thinking of putting 5-8 ETF's into the one account and 10-12 stocks into the other account. Wondering if this is a good strategy or if you would suggest something different? The emphasis would be primarily on growth, but not at extreme risk. Can you recommend 5 or more ETF's (and percentage allotted for each) for good diversity for the one account, and 10-12 stocks equally spread out to cover the $75,000 in the other account.
Please deduct as many credits as appropriate.
Many thanks, Jake

Q: Just thoughts...First background - †I have an income, balance and growth portfolio that's invested in trade, TFSA and LIRA accounts...all similar to 5iR's...and also a US balance portfolio with a definite growth tilt...and I like to stay within the portfolio framework, aka add to existing stock positions which now total 100 positions. With cash on hand, I'm muddled about what to invest in, aka Cdn and US stocks? And here is the tug...there seems to be many other good stocks but from my reading of 5iR, it's better to stay with the ones you have or totally drop the existing position and move onto a new position. With that in mind, what are the Cdn 5iR positions would you suggest are a buy today or watch it for a buy? When it comes to the US, the draw for me today is to add to existing positions 'cause of the strength†of the Loonie and the expectation that it will decline over the next few years relative to the Green Back. What would you suggest are US stock buys now for a longer term hold, like 5+ years. Thanks for the assistance.....Tom

Q: I am currently helping my wife to add new money to her TFSA account. She is currently holding DND, AC, EGLX and PLTR. Please suggest your favorite growth stocks (Canadian and US) taking into account the latest volatility and recent sector rotation from growth/tech and rising interest concerns. She is looking for 5-7 years time frame.

Q: Hi Team,
I was looking for a list of a few company's that appear to be strong buys today (Your fav picks), that are poised to continue to work in this so called "inflationary period" (non tech). Both US and cnd names. Thanks
