Q: Q1: What 3 to 5 stocks if added would work well with the existing 17 stocks below?

Q2: Are there any already in this list that you would say (like Jack Armstrong) "Get that garbage out of here" or are they all okay?

AAPL, ABCL, AMD, APPS, ATZ, COST, CRWD, DDOG, DOO, ECN, GOOG, GSY, NVDA, SHOP, TD, TOI, WELL

Q: These stocks make up the Financial portion of my portfolio. I would like to concentrate my holdings (just because you have suggested it in the past). V and FSZ are each approximately 1.5% of my portfolio and the others are each around 2.5%.

I am considering selling FSZ and V in order to buy more of the remaining stocks. Would you endorse this move or given the different types of companies represented should I just stay the course? Capital gains would be owing on V and I tend to hold for the long term.

Appreciate your insight.

Q: Hi 5i,
I wonder if you could give us some guidance. My wife holds the above in her RSP, with all being more or less a full position except for ENB at 2X, BCE, CM, and SU at 1.5X each and CHR and DXT at .5X each.
She has until the end of 2024 to convert to a RRIF and currently has $40K to contribute to her RSP and has the room for that contribution.
She would like to invest in some different names, or divest/reinvest in those she has, with an eye to maximizing value before the conversion to a RRIF and to continue thereafter. She's not asking for much - just safety, capital appreciation and income ...!
Based on this info, can you offer any thoughts on new names to add or which of the existing to either pull back on, or dump entirely if that extreme measure seems warranted?
Thank you 5i, and we wish you all an excellent holiday season.
Peter

Q: Would you please provide me with 6 US and 6 CDN stocks that have gone down in price but their value, debt and upside don't justify the downward stock price. Some with big upside potential.

Thanks and Happy Holiday Season to you and all staff.

Q: The following are some of the companies I’ve lost money with and will sell for tax purposes. I am wondering what your opinion is re their repurchase as commented on below.

The following I don’t feel I need to buy back, unless you feel differently.
NFI, QST

The following I would like to buy back ASAP unless you feel otherwise. Considering the state of the market do you think I would need a proxy for the next 30 days?
CRWD, GSY, META, NVEI, ROKU, WELL

The following are stocks I would like to buy back but don’t see the urgency, considering how the market currently views these companies, notwithstanding their financial outlook.
COIN, LSPD (I already own SHOP), U, UPST

Thank You.

Q: I hold the above stocks in my Unregistered,TFSA,and RRIF accounts. I understand that as of January 1, 2023, the IRS will require a 10% withholding tax when Canadian residents sell US stocks. Does this rule apply to sell any of the above mentioned my stocks ?

2) If I sell above Stocks before end of 2022, will I avoid paying new IRS 2023 10% withholding tax?
