Q: All the Best for 2024 Peter and Team and thanks for another year of great service! For some smaller cap financial diversification pls give your thoughts on the above selections and take as many credits as needed; While COIN is the largest component of ARKF it has a unique picks and shovel position if/as Crypto Mania picks up again; ARKF also has a healthy position in SHOP held seperately; KRE & BR will both benefit if/as rates come down and BR appears to have a moat in its services and the chart looks good.

Q: I hold the above stocks in my Unregistered,TFSA,and RRIF accounts. I understand that as of January 1, 2023, the IRS will require a 10% withholding tax when Canadian residents sell US stocks. Does this rule apply to sell any of the above mentioned my stocks ?

2) If I sell above Stocks before end of 2022, will I avoid paying new IRS 2023 10% withholding tax?

Q: Dear 5i team.

Looking at Q history, you last pulled ARKK and ARKF from the ARK group of funds as your suggested two of the bunch as at Oct'21.

Does this still stand or has current market backdrop changed your view in any way?
I'd like to get small positions in the best two now that the rotation is well under way.

Thanks.

Q: Hello 5i team!

Your thought on adding ARKF (Ark ETF Fintech) versus buying Zillow or Open Door. With ARKF, I will add some bitcoins & fintech to my portfolio that I didn't own as well real estate selling/buying online. Zillow is down significantly after retreating from buying real estate, is it time to step in at today pricing. Thank you!

Q: Hi,

It seems to me that the good days of the above ETFs are now behind them. They have been loosing speed, as for instance ARKG going from a yield of 33% over 3 years to 18% over 1 year.

What is your assessment of these ETFs at this time. Would you hold or sell to remplace them by ETFs with better growth potential ? If so, which ones would you suggest ?

Thanks a million,

Jacques IDS

Q: I'm seeking an ETF to help with disruptive technologies.

I have mostly banks, REIT's, and other dividend paying stocks. Less in
technology, health care though I have a few ETF's covering the space.

What I don't have are ETF's that would protect against a possible
decline in my positions: such as disruptive financial stocks (such as
ARKF) and emerging internet, cybersecurity for example. I have very
little knowledge ion these areas but they could well be important
going forward, as a minority position (maybe 5 - 10% of my portfolio).

Thoughts?

Q: Hi team,
Being overweight in the tech sector, which ETFs of my present portfolio (above) would you suggest to drop either because they are too similar or not representing strong growth ?
Which of these ETF you would consider « Buy and forget » type ?
In addition, I hold the following tech stocks: TOI-T, CRWD-Q, NVDA-Q, TTD-Q, LSPD-T, ENPH-Q, QCOM-Q, SHOP-T, APPS-Q, SEDG-Q. As I need to raise cash, is it better to sell ETFs or individual stocks and which ones ?
Please use credits as you see fit.
Grateful for your attention,

Jacques IDS

Q: Thank you for answering my question comparing ARKK with QQQJ/EDGW. Somehow it seems to have been flagged as Private! Didn't mean to mark as private. Please feelfree to unflag it!
Your answer as always has been consistent. You favoured ARKK. Thanks.
But this is an extension of that question. I know you don't get into asset allocation! Let me try anyway in the following manner!
If someone is ready to invest 100k, 3 to 5 years, high risk tolerance, what would be % you would allocate in each of the ARK funds?

Q: I would very much appreciate explaining the difference between ARK and Evolve Etf's. Are ARKs actively managed while Evolves are passively managed? Would you please choose two or three of each that have a balance between better growth and lower risk and provide good diversification.
Thanks.
