Q: For fun if you were to build a concentrated portfolio with Canadian stocks maximum holding 7-10 what would be your picks today.

If I were to "go shopping" and sell XLP a defensive ETF. What would be be a few ideas for growth assuming we are never a bottom..

Q: Hi Team,
Today seen some big % moves by many growth/ tech names; which seemed to come out of no where. Overall, what is your sense on where we are in this pullback? Is it time to start buying some beat down tech names? This being said, if you feel a person should be doing some buying at this time; what are your most convincing buys from todays levels? Some of the stocks I was looking at are SHOP (currently not owned), or add to either of this list which I currently own all: ATZ, TOI, U, RBLX, SQ. Currently I feel like we are watching a major buying opportunity unfold before our eyes...similar to oil stocks a couple years ago and feel I might regret not adding some new funds at this point to some high quality tech names that have been sold off some 50-75% in many names. Also, generally speaking; if a person is looking at holdings that are down say 60% (which I am with RBLX,U, APPS)...should we be doubling down? It seems if not it's almost hopeless to break even from these excessively sold off levels. Deduct as many credits as necessary. Thanks

Q: I read your answer to a question regarding tax loss selling where you said that you were "endorsing tax-loss harvesting right now". I've taken some profits and have the following stocks that are down and can utilize: AMZN, VISA, DIS, TFII and GSY - can you recommend which ones I should sell and if you would be okay buying them back after the 30 days?

Q: In your earnings assessment you state:

"easyfinancial is seeing more 'secured' loans (33% up from 12.7%). Average loan rate fell to 32.7%, 37.5%. As interest rates rise we would like to see this trend reverse, of course."

Can I presume increase in secured loans is the reason for reduction in Avg. Loan Rate? Personally I would rather give a secured loan
rather than unsecured. Don't you think this trend would improve loan write offs?

Q: Based on your reply to Paul on May 9th...."We think buying over a year will end up looking pretty good in two or three years". Of the following Companies that make up my portfolio what would be your TOP 3 conviction names to ADD to over the next year based on long term growth potential, good valuation, well run, good management, no brainer this will be a good investment type choice. There is opportunity here so don't want to miss the boat. Yes everything is down. Yes people are panicking. But it will go back up and simply want to focus my energy on the ones with more conviction. I don't need the money for the next 15-20 yrs but don't want to be a moron either and be happy with a bit of dividend here and there when I could see larger returns by making a good decision today. Q: Hi,
I'm currently holding all of these at a loss, mostly in RSP's - so the loss, if taken, won't be helpful tax wise. I'm aware you are still recommending GSY, but assume that is because at this point it is a reasonably buy. It has been a particular disappointment for me, as I purchased near the recent highs, so I wonder if the remaining capital I have might be better in the energy sector, as I do hold other financials. SNAP and SBUX are looking a bit more like they will take a very long time to show positive momentum - would you agree? Or do you feel it is worth holding onto all of these? I don't need the cash, I'm just wondering if it would be more prudent to stop the day by day reduction in principal, in particular when there are options such as ENB that pay a sizeable dividend in a more positive sector.
