Q: Would 5iR consider the following US stocks income or dividend stocks??? - ABBV with (recent) yield of 3.99%, ABT, 1.93%, BLK, 2.14%, NDAQ, 1.57% (as X-T is held in the 5iR Income Portfolio), TT, 1.42% , UNH, 1.40%, HD, 2.7% and LLY, 2.3%

Q: Hi folks,
I am looking to replace GILD in my TFSA. I currently hold ABBV, LLY, PFE and WELL in other accounts. I am looking for a name that pays a good dividend and has some potential for growth. Can you suggest a couple of names I can take a look at or should I add one of the names I already hold.

Q: I have $40K US to redeploy I would open 3-4 positions in an unregistered account. My thoughts go to blue chip dividend payers and nothing commodity based that I can let grow for 3-5 years. Q: According to portfolio tracking and analysis, I am short on basic materials, consumer cyclical, consumer defensive, health care and industrials. I’m also significantly short on international equities. Q: I have held the above stocks in my open account for several years. All stocks have shown a positive return except for BNS which is down approximately 20%. I have some cash to invest in the market and would like to purchase additional shares in some of these companies for a 3 to 5 year investment. Q: Retired DIY investor. I find that I’m overweight in Tech stocks having AMZN, AAPL, GOOG, and MSFT and on the Cdn side CSU and SHOP. Meanwhile I have no healthcare stocks. I’m considering selling Apple and rotating into ABBV, MDT, or ZBH.

Q: Sooner than later the US Congress and Senate will have to deal with the US debt ceiling. One option is to cut expenditure for certain categories, like health care or medical expenditures. With this in mind, I searched for revenue from the US Federal Government for each of the health stocks that I hold but with no luck. Did this as I think that if such revenue is cut for such healthcare stocks the price of the stock could decline. Can you estimate such revenue received for each of these stocks - ABBV, ABT, BSX, ISRG, SYK, UNH and ZTS? Or do you know a source for such information? .......Thanks for the assistance.......Tom

Q: I am interested in increasing my Health holdings through the purchase of CDRs. I am considering LLY, UNH, ABBV and PG. I favour LLY but note that it has been on a tear lately. Would you recommend it at these levels? I would appreciate your opinion on these companies. Thank you.

Q: This period of seasonal weakness is a great time for some early Christmas shopping. I sold a part position in NVO a while ago and am looking to reinvest proceeds to increase my health care holdings.

Considering current valuations, what would you recommend as a good complement to expand and diversify?

I'm hoping you might be able to steer me towards several suitable, longer term, investments.

If you were assembling a portfolio of equity investments today, from which you REQUIRED an overall average yield of at least 4%, with a further need for that yield to either keep pace with or to outpace the rate of inflation in coming years; which 5 Canadian and which 5 USA equities would you select to include within your portfolio?

1) Independent of any consideration of a desire for diversity of sector?

2) If diversity were to be considered to be of importance?
