Q: I loved this recent question from Giovanni, big kudos to him and his son for taking the fantastic suggestions from 5i, and GIANT HIGH 5 to 5i team!
So to ask the same question today, my 30ish daughter has about 45k cash in TFSA. Also has some NTDOY, DIS ZQQ and ZEB. Ok with ETFs but I don't think there is as good a chance for towering home runs like NVDA.

Q: I bought DIS for a post-Covid turnaround, but here we are five years post-Covid and the stock is still well below its pre-Covid valuation. Could you please assess its earnings tomorrow and advise whether to hang in or move on?

Q: Hi There, I am trying to stear my portfolio decisions going into 2025, and looking for some of your feedback. I am 28 with 55k in myTFSA ( all after home purchase, so longer time horizon), I have about 5K of the 55K to invest, and the other 50K in the stocks below with their respective weightings of the 55K. I am trying to decide if I should add any other specific stocks or top up weightings to 2% on BSX / BKNG / ISRG / TSM / CELH / SMCI and add to CRWD, DIS, GOOGl, another 1.0%.

Are there any other stocks you would recommend to diversify this portfolio some more. Do you have any concerns with any holdings or their weightings?

Please deduct however many questions you feel necessary, I don't often ask Q's.

From the list of NTR,PBH, DIS,RCI.B, ADN,GE, FCX,WMB,GS,CVX, CAT,LYB and APO how would you rank them with 1 being the best and 5 the least favoured. Please take as many credits as you need. I am trying to decide to between Disney , Vertiv Holdings, and AOS smith.. I know they are in different industries, However, based on risk and reward which is a better stock.. Are you able to suggest a ranking based on value play versus growth.. Much appreciated.

I redid my portfolio early this year based on much of your feedback. And of those picks, Every single one of them was up, most significantly so, at least once, since that time. Some have returned/fell below those buy levels.

1. DRX, HPS, LMN and VRT, seem to have consolidated up a healthy amount, do these appear to be new support levels from which they'll continue to grow? Still Aces in your books?

2. SMCI is furthest from this years high, what are the main barriers it would have to reaching that high again in the coming year? In your opinion is it likely to get there within 12-18months?

3. NXT, CELH, CDNS, DCBO, and ATS all went significantly up, and almost as precipitously down. They seem to languish. I doubled down (half to full) on CELH on the first big drop in April, which seemed worth it in May, but less so now. Do you have faith in these names still? Is their prospect for growth still the same as it was in February? Are there new names in this Growth profile (or what is was in February) that you are more confident in? With your suggestions here, please rank them with these names from highest to lowest prospects/confidence.

4. AMD. Is it worth holding the 2nd fiddle? Would it be better used in something in 1st in a different space? like AVGO or QCOM?

5. DIS. Been very up and down on this half position. Worth going to a full at this point, or would you want to see the ship righted a bit more before increasing? Would you sell a Disney holding?

AMZN, GOOG, NVDA, TVK, DRX, POWL, TCS and CROX all doing their thing for me :), suggestions other than these please.

Q: While Disney is a great company is it a great stock? I am down considerably on the stock as video streaming... have not met my expectations. Do you have any alternatives in this sector that would upgrade my portfolio or would you stay with Disney?

It's usually enough to read the answers to other questions, but thought I would finally ask one. I am down on the three companies above. I am relatively new to investing and started in 2021 at all time highs. Being new to the stock market, it was interesting to watch some of my shares go down but for most part I am confident they are good long term and it is much more fun watching them go back up! I'm about 10 years away from retirement and for the most part plan to hold long term. Would you consider any of these a sell (PARA?), and add any of the following today...AVGO, HD, SBUX, AAPL. What would a few of your highest conviction US companies (any sector) be if not adding to those mentioned (already own MSFT, GOOGL,V). If considered a hold, I do have some cash to add or start a new position. I've been watching CROX, but just not purchased yet.

Q: Does the present proxy fight at Disney pose any risk to the valuation of the company? How do you see it playing out at the AGM?

Q: Could you please tell me if I am interpreting this correctly. Disney said it expects Disney+ net adds of between 5.5 million and 6 million in Q2. But per their earnings call, “domestic net adds are expected to be in the 7.5 million range, driven by charter entitlements, net of cannibalization”. Does that mean they are gaining 7.5 million charter subs but losing 1.5 million paying subs to hit the 6 million? From what I understand the charter subs are getting Disney+ for free, and Disney is getting free advertising in exchange. So ARPU might go up due to price increases, but won’t overall revenue go down as fewer paying subs? Or do you think Disney will estimate the benefit of the free advertising, and then charge that amount to advertising and give the credit to Disney+ revenue? Thanks for you help.
