Q: I need to dispose of a stock or two to fund my wife's RMD. Which of the above would be your first choice to sell; please pick 2 or 3 in order of least upside.
Thanks,

Q: MTY or QSR: which best buy? I am thinking mild recession - maybe better price of entry later? I do not own any stocks in this group. Not sure I need to own? Not big dividend growers which is my mantra. Too many good blue chips avai8lable that are good dividend growers.

Q: ATS is something that 5i likes. On April 6 of this year it was 52.40 and now today Oct. 17, it is $52.50. You know a lot about this company. I own it because I am a long time member of 5i - do you see things in their profile that I would not have access to? You like QSR and it was a recent pick on BNN. I own it at higher prices. From what I have heard, I am thinking of adding more. Your opinion would be appreciated. Thanks so much.

Q: My Consumer Descretionary % is a bit low.

1. I'm a little gun shy buying this sector right now due to economy slowing in the face of higher interest rates. It seems the consumer may be struggling here for awhile. Would you bump up a low sector waiting right now or just wait 6-12 months?

2. How would you currently rank the following watchlist for capital appreciation over the next year+? Are there some you would not really consider Consumer Descretionary - seems to be quite a range of business.

SHOP, QSR, ATZ, DOO, TSLA, MG, AMZN, ULTA, CELH, BKNG, GLBE, CROX.

Q: QSR has not panned out for me. How do you like McDonald's or other quick serve restaurants? EAFT.NE - my daughter purchased on Apr. 7 of this year. The cease trade by the Securities Commission - are we protected for the money we have lost with this holding? When I search a specific stock it gives me a great amount of information. There is a deviation line with dots on it. Is it better when the dots are going higher or lower as I do not know much about this. Looking forward to hearing from you. Thank you again,

Q: If you had $20,000 to invest today for and Income with some growth investor in an otherwise well diversified portfolio, what would you pick or just add to?

Q: I have had the impression rightly or wrongly that you aren’t buying into the current narrative that interest rates might stay higher for longer? Just supposing they do stay elevated for some time, are there any companies in your universe that you may have been previously positive on whose debt levels might give you pause under the higher for longer scenario? I’ll use EIF just as an example. Is it something you could run a screen on just to highlight some companies that you think could bear a closer watch under such a scenario? It always seems to me that when a company has an issue (Nuvei being a recent example), it’s always a suddenly too high debt ratio that ultimately takes them down (or at least keeps them from recovering). Appreciate your thoughts as always.

Q: Wondering if it is time to trade T. Been reading about NWC and wondering if this is a good dividend stock to replace T. Are there other dividend stocks you would recommend.

Q: I sold TRP today at basically a break even price because I do not want to wait out the final outcome of their recent split up plan and to see how their debt is allocated etc. I was in the stock for long term income given I am recently retired. It will be hard to find an equivalent yield, given capital preservation is a prime objective along with the income. TRP was held in a non registered account for tax advantaged dividend income.

With long term capital preservation a goal along with income generation, and that I hold all of the above listed companies already in appropriate proportions and don't wish to add to them or their sectors (no more utilities, financials or telecoms) what other Canadian blue chip dividend companies would you consider for long term hold with decent dividends for income? I also already have enough allocated to bonds, GIC's and cash accounts so I'm not considering these assets either.

Manageable debt levels and ability to maintain dividend growth, hopefully at the rate of inflation or higher is the main criteria I would hope to have in replacing TRP for the long haul. Thank you for your valued insight in giving me suggestions to look at.
