Q: I do not own any stocks in this line of business. Which one(s) would you recommend and should I go for a full or half position?

Thank you

Q: Hi,

What are your thoughts on today's hit to QSR & the results? Is this a buying opportunity or a warning? My portfolio distribution lies somewhere between your balanced & income portfolios.

Thx, Gord.

Q: Hi Peter

I own QSR at lower levels and am considering adding Starbucks with its pullback. They are the kind of companies I like to own with increasing dividends.
However, I have a hard time accepting P/Es in the mid 20s. Morningstar has SBUX with a forward P/E of 25. Still seems expensive even with its pullback. What do you think?

Cheers
John

Q: Thanks for the small cap suggestions yesterday. I was also thinking of a 10I position in Cara, Mighty Foods, or Restaurant Brands International. I would appreciate your answer based on the fundamentals for a minimum 24 month hold. I also know Cara's board has had some issues re: directors as insiders and objectivity going forward.
Thanks again.

Q: Hello Team,

If you had choice, what type of account would you hold a stock like QSR in? Reason i ask is the volume of trading is almost triple in the USA. i was thinking of buying it in the US portion of my RRSP. Also, what impact do you think the stock will have if interest rates rise in the US, and the Republican Party wins the election? Seems i have asked a three part question, charge me accordingly!

Thank you

Stephen

Q: I have a balanced portfolio which includes a little more than a half position in QSR, but this stock seems to be somewhat range-bound. Given recent events at MTY, do you think a move from QSR to MTY would be wise, even after the run-up of MTY?

Thanks.

Q: I have the following 4 companies in a conservative, "steady-eddy" portfolio: T, SPB, SLF, and BNS.

I have cash to add two more Canadian companies. What would you recommend in order to add some diversification to the above 4 but to maintain a conservative portfolio?

Thanks,

Q: Good morning,
I would like to hear your thoughts on a switch from CTC.A to QSR. CTC has not done much for me and QSR seems to have momentum. There have been very few questions on QSR but I noticed you recommended it on a question by Herb on July 24. This is for a long term hold. Thanks for your always helpful responses.
