Q: Hi team,
What is your view of QSR given recent earnings which were strong and the current short attack on the stock? This morning on CNBC I saw a story on some U.S. bigwig (Chanos) shorting QSR and Dunkin Donuts as he sees their “asset lite” model of “clipping coupons” from the franchisees not working in the longer term if the franchisees are struggling. What’s your take on this short guy’s story and the pressure on the stock? How long does this tend to play out and what is your confidence level on QSR going forward?
Thanks again,
dave

Q: Hello Peter,
On your april 9th reply to QSR, the dividend that was indicated was above 3 percent; I am seeing a dividend of 1.9 percent on google. Any idea? Also, I am planning to keep QSR , GUD, SIS, ADW.A, Shop, and Spot as long term holds. Any concerns here? My weights range from 2 to 4 percent. Lastly, I I know you have had lots of questions on Knight, but from a shareholders perspective, are we not waiting along time to get some results that are meaningful to increase stock price? What are the analysts saying about Knight as I am sure their clients are not happy with the stock price. Thanks again for the great input.

Q: With your answer to a Q on ENB as time being on the buyers side I put a low ball bid in for some shares. Could you give me a list of 'safe' stocks (i.e. like ENB and not KWH.UN for example) with great yields that one could put stink bids on? I will assume in your answer that putting ENB over ENF(e.g.) indicates preference of the safer investment vehicle.

TIA

Q: Hello Folks
What are your feelings re: holding on to both Kraft Heinz and Starbucks, which are both struggling with their own issues. Would you consider McDonalds a decent bet/ replacement at present as it has been taking positive steps, but is expensive. Do you have other suggestions in this sector?
Thanks for your good work
