Q: Hello 5i Research
Thank you for the guidance during these difficult times in the market.
I would like to start a small new position in DND and BYD at the current prices .Would you wait for the market to settle or buy now?
Thanks

Q: I have trimmed some of my oil % gas stocks today back to my sector weight and would like to rotate the proceeds to other stocks. I already have the Balance Portfolio of stocks including MG at full position and was thinking of buying some LNR to complement MG or do you think there are other stocks in the Balanced Portfolio that you would consider more compelling at this time? Could you name your preference? Thanks.

Q: Oh BOYD! I see you re-rated BYD down a notch and have replied to other questions that you are still believers but that the next year could be rough. With the pandemic forcing a shift to more remote work will that reduce the BYD customer base and their long term upside. More companies are set up for remote work and likely will allow some form of remote work moving forward. So fewer commutes, fewer commuters, less traffic/road rage = fewer accidents? Long term do you still see BYD in the portfolio or could cash be better deployed somewhere else for the long term.

Q: Hello, I am using Portfolio Analytics and it's suggested allocation is to increase Consumer Cyclical, Industrials and Utilities and increase in U.S. exposure. What is your suggestion for these categories for investment into TFSA & unregistered with a 10-15 year timeline? stocks or ETFs? thank you

Q: Hi Peter and Staff

The above 5 stocks are all small positions in my Industrial basket. All are in negative territory. I have held stocks that I wish I had sold due to opportunity cost and sold several that I regretted when they bounced sharply. I have zero issues holding a lot of stocks in my basket if the risk/reward justifies it. However if there are one or more of the 5 that clearly have better prospects going forward I should be smart enough to sell some and add to others. My positions in the favorites ATA,WSP,TRI and TFII are where I would like them.

Thoughts?

Thanks for all you do

Dennis

Q: Hi there, both companies have seen drops in their price. Is there any reason for their decline ?, 5i mentioned that on March 8 that it was safe to buy SPB, is still the case ?, Is it prudent o BDY now ?

We would be pleased if you could provide an update.
Would you make any changes?

Q: I have 1/2 position in these names and down. I recall you generally don't recommend averaging down. Would you add here for the long term?

Specifically about LSPD, has anything changed at the company except for the CEO?

Thank you,

Q: Good morning Peter, Ryan, and Team,

In our combined accounts, we are overweight in the Consumer Cyclical sector, and hold ATD, BYD, CCL.B, and MG. These stocks have been held for some time, so we have reasonable profits in all four.

In order to raise cash for our under-represented energy sector, please rank the four Consumer Cyclical stocks in order of the first to sell or reduce.

Our Energy holdings include ENB, TOU, and TVE. Please suggest three or four stocks in this sector that would be complimentary to the three already held.

Please deduct as many credits as necessary for this somewhat long question, and as always, thanks for your valuable insight.

Q: Like a previous subscriber wrote, we also appreciate your most recent report: specifically, the numeric historical context of this current correction, the sectors affected and those most likely to benefit.
We are invested in each of the three of the 5i portfolios and over the next 1-2 months plan to make staggered and targeted contributions.
Could you suggest 3 or 4 companies from each portfolio where the winds of sentiment are excessively negative and would be attractive to purchase with this approach?
This is for a 5+ years hold.
Thank you

Q: I don't know what to ask since my previous question seemed to be regarded as naive and critical . The situation has only become worse as Atlassian Corporation (TEAM ) + Shopify (SHOP) + Lightspeed (LSPD) + Digital Turbine (APPS) ,Crowdsrtrike (CRWD) and Boyd (BYD) are getting hammered every day . I can't see any signs of a rounding bottom , or recovery in these names . Now NVDA had a double bottom breakdown . "Holding" has increased my losses and now other sectors have plunged ... Post Mortem: Reducing Tech and deploying funds into Energy, Materials ,and Financials would have been the best move in recent months . Is it still ?

Q: The above companies are all down considerably in the last few months. Do you see any of them continuing on a downward trend such that it is best to sell now, and take the loss, and invest in something more stable? Or do you foresee any of these companies rebounding from their lows such that they are currently great buy low candidates? If so which one(s)?
