Q: Can you help by providing the average exchange rate acceptable by CRA for 2021 tax year when converting US$ to C$ for Canadian tax returns. I have looked but cannot find it on the CRA website.

Q: Hello,
I bought VEON as a purely speculative trade, with the intention of jumping out quickly on any decent gain. In your estimation is there anything fundamentally compelling about the stock that would suggest it is good for a long term hold? Or should my original plan hold? Thank-you.

Is there compelling value here to initiate a position? If yes, how compelling would you rate it on a scale of 1 to 10 ( 10 being lost)
If you prefer other US non tech names trading at a discount, please offer your suggestions.

Q: Thanks for the recent report on FSV. I am attracted to this name, but could never persuade myself to buy because of valuation. I am hopeful that one day I'll pull the trigger.

However, two risks that you mention - somewhat slim margins and low barriers to entry - make me hesitate a bit. In a prolonged bear-market / struggling economy, how would you see FSV perform compared to the competition? Would margins compress even more in that situation, and maybe risk losing major contracts? Or are their competitors weaker in that environment, and perhaps this would provide FSV with an advantage ? Any thoughts on this ?

Can you comment on Etfs verses individual stocks +

Please give me some names I am thinking that some physical gold etf like PHYS should be held please comment also a good etf that covers all the metals c/w mix % suggestions. Thanks for your help with this.
