Q: What are your thoughts on ORBX ETF as a method to invest in this area. I already have a slightly underweight position in MDA Space Ltd and was looking to increase exposure in this sector and diversify more. Would there be a better alternative to achieve this? Either a couple of other stocks or a better ETF focused on this sector? Any thoughts?

Q: I have gone from Fear to FOMO with these market gyrations, and am sitting on a ~15% cash position that I am anxious to deploy given the opportunity cost I have already incurred. I am targeting the above companies with most if not all of this cash. Three questions:

1. Could you rank these holdings in terms of long term capital appreciation potential?

2. How would you recommend I deploy this cash in this market towards these holdings? Over time or just proceed at this point?

3. Which 3-5 companies would you feel the most 'urgency' with?

Q: Can you please compare and contrast the merits of and risks associated with Neo and VNP stocks as investments today? Also, how would these 2 stocks rank as investments when stacked against my current small cap holdings of MDA, ZDC, PNG, GRID and ELVA? Thank you.

Q: Hi Peter…the 18 years old grandson of a friend has put $7,000 CAD in his just opened TFSA and has asked for my help.
1) Do you have a reduced membership fee for young people?
2) I think he should structure his account with $5000 for a “core” holding and 2 $1,000 tranches for more risky investments.
3) For core I think GOOG, NBIS or MDA are good candidates.
4) For higher risk candidates I think VNP, CCO, ANRG or OMG might be promising.
5) Do you like Bombardier now that the company seems to have turned around?
6) He is OK with not purchasing dividend paying stocks like the banks and Life Insurance companies.
Any thoughts you have would be appreciated.
Jim

Q: Hi Team,
I have positions in CSU,TOI, LMN with LMN position being the smallest. Being that I own all of these and all of them have poor momentum, I was looking possibly selling LMN being that is the smallest position and smallest company and using the funds to add to my position in MDA to top it up to full position. Would this be advised at this time?

Thanks,
Shane.

Q: How important is the space theme today in your opinion?
I am acquainted with a US lawyer who specializes in space, thus there are legalities involved out there.
I notice there is a Space Station in Nova Scotia as well.
Please advise your recommendations with some analysis.(3 or so)

Thanks!

Q: First, want to thank you for the service provided over the years. I recently reached a financial milestone (another 0 at the end of the net worth statement at age 33) and 5i played a massive part. Biggest elements were the great stock picks (obviously) which allowed me to outperform the market quite a bit, as well as the reassurance to stay long when the market has a fit.

My question is can you provide a list of top picks for long term growth that are less associated with AI. I'm heavy in AI, want to stay overweight, however would like to slowly diversify a bit over time. Open to a mix of risk levels.

Q: Good morning 5i,

Enjoyed the BNN segment as always.

Which current US stocks are in the midst of hot momentum with room to carry. Such as NBIS. Ones preferable with reasonable balance sheets and worth holding on a fundamental basis. Add to my momentum portion of my portfolio.

Thank you.

Q: Energy is obviously trading at a premium, given the current conflict, and with this in mind I was thinking of taking advantage of the bump and trimming my CNQ and SU positions. While I don't have any concerns about the companies, it would seem to make sense to monetize some of those gains. That being said, the current conflict has obviously impacted other sectors and companies negatively. What are some opportunistic buys (in your opinion) of companies that are currently depressed by the current conflict, but whose balance sheets and business models are sound, and who will probably do fine over the next 5 years.

Q: Hi Team;
I was thinking of adding to MDA in my cash account. As luck would have it, I had just bought in near peak and am down 20% in a week. Is this a good day to average down? Or would you be inclined to wait until next week?

Also, I am funding my RSP account for the year with 10K. I was thinking about MSFT for this purchase. Would you consider it a good buy today? In my mind it compares to GOOG a couple years ago when it was pulling back on unjustified fears. I am hoping for a similar recovery within a couple years.

As a third question, more generally, with the VIX hovering right near 30 is now a good time to start picking away at the market in general? Or wait for further destruction? Do you have a "shopping list" to share with us for your favorite names to buy if the VIX spikes further into market fears? Also, will 5i set up a "special report", so to speak if there is a crazy spike as to when to start "pulling the trigger" if chaos happens? I recall you did something similar in 2020 during covid when the markets were in free fall and your timing if I remember right was probably within a week of the market turnaround at that time. Great job!

Deduct as many credits as required for this multi part question.

Thanks,
Shane.
