Q: With the recent pullback and the seemingly never ending concerns around inflation and interest rates, what 5 US and CAD positions do you see as oversold with excellent upside potential in the short term right now?

Secondly, I am down 39% in WELL. Should I have any concerns picking up additional shares at this level?

Q: What a dilemma. Apple is the best performing stock in what is supposed to be a relatively safe and balanced RRSP portfolio. But it has grown to represent 20% of the portfolio. I feel I have to sell a good chunk of this high performance stock in order to correct the balance. Can you suggest what I could buy to replace the shares of Apple I sell?

Q: Hi Team,
With index's near record highs it is very frustrating to have my portfolio down 20% over the last quarter, and still dropping (holding mostly growthy tech). I have read recently that even though the index's are hitting records, nearly half the underlying stocks in the index's are down 20% or more from highs. My question is now..do I keep holding or make the switch to the interest rate increase "friendly" stocks. My initial thoughts are that since my holdings are already down 20-50% on some of these names and the stories in the companies have not changed (other than the short reports on LSPD and NVEI), is it better to simply hold at this point and wait for better days, or should I be selling into the weakness and re adjusting my portfolio? Or...should I buck the trend and add to these dips. Seems like many long term opportunites come from adding to beat down names in times such as this. I am overweight tech, mostly 5i tech favourites.

Also, taking everything into consideration; what are some of your top ideas for 2022 TFSA contributions as of today that you would be looking at, either US or Cnd. My timeframe is 10yrs plus until retirement. Thanks

We had abbv 5.5%, zuh 5% then added mrk 3.5% lately based on the Covid pill and positive 5i info only to see a 15% drop on news and selloff. Should we sell mrk with the loss or hold. Q: Looking forward to 2022 I think there is a recession coming at us. (Personal Opinion). Looks to me that growth companies are going to continue to face severe headwinds. I also think industrials, financials, energy, and health care will be the sectors that will start to outperform others. Of course I'm open to debate regarding my choices and welcome your opinions. However, I would appreciate 3 or 4 examples of companies that you believe are set up to outperform in these sectors. If I've missed any sector please feel free to add your ideas. Q: I have historically held my investments in mutual funds through a financial advisor. I subscribed to 5i Research approximately 3 years ago and made my first investments in equities and an ETF based primarily upon information obtained from 5i Research. The returns on VGRO ETF and my equities have been 2 to 4 times the gain for my mutual funds. I recently upgraded my subscription to include Portfolio Analytics. Q: Good day. This is a follow up question to a couple of previous questions related to my daughter's TFSA account with a 5+ year hold period, moderate risk with growth and dividend prospects, Based on your responses she holds the companies mentioned in her portfolio. Based on her weightings she has enough cash left to invest in one more equity. She is considering adding either T, TIXT or LNF. In your opinion which if any would be the best choice and do you have an alternate selection and perhaps a comment on the portfolio? Thanks for your learned guidance.

Q: My daughter is starting a TFSA account with $20,000 to invest and a 5-10 year horizon. She wants a balanced portfolio with moderate risk and room for growth and dividend income.
