Q: Good afternoon,

I’d like to commend 5i on the well thought out updates!

Looking to form a healthcare position. 3-5 positions. Long term growth in a TFSA.
These could be pharmaceutical, equipment etc etc.

Thank you very much.

Q: Previously had 3 U.S. ETFS for U.S. healthcare but haven't been happy about these.
Could you please suggest 3 or 4 U.S. healthcare companies that might work out for a 5 yr+ return. Please put in order of ratings and advise why you like them.
THank you
Margaret

Q: There was an article in the Globe and Mail today by David Rosenberg about the aging population and he suggested health care related investments such as health care REITS, pharma, devices, and services. What do you think of this idea and can you give me a few recommendations in canada and the US for each of the 4 categories (health reits, pharma, devices, sefrvices)? A mix of ETFS and individual stocks would be great.

Q: Seems the whole Healthcare sector stocks are depressed right now. Aside from ISRG (owned) which five are the most compelling to own and at what entry price are they wotth it? Canadian would be best, or ADRs. But I'll take US or world suggestions also.
Thank you!

Q: MRK was a recommendation for stable US and health exposure, but has seen a major drawdown in 6 moths. Any insight you can offer on current challenges and whether they have a path to recover? Or should it be replaced?

Q: Hi,

We could very well be heading into stagflation, which I understand to be slowing or negative growth, high unemployment, weak demand and rising inflation.

In such a scenario, which would be the best stocks or ETFs to favour ?

Many thanks,

Jacques IDS

Q: I am working on increasing my sector representation in Healthcare. I will shortly have filled a full position in ISRG, adding in this downturn. I have traded around UNH, and am planning to take it from a 1/2 to full position. I have 1/4 position in ILMN and do not think I should be topping it up; I perceive it to be risky. I need 2 more companies, or may need to take one or both of IRSG/UNH to more than a full position.

This provides me a surgical/instrumentation company and a service/product supplier. For diversity in the Healthcare space can you rank your preferred buys (with entry points) I'd appreciate 2 recommendations on the pharmaseuticals side and 2 on the biotech side, or as you may see that fits better.

While I am open US companies I do have a concern that the Trump administration will bring the DOGE and Executive Order train wrecks to health care. I would appreciate your views on this potential action and howe it may impact investment choice in the field.

Thanks as always,

Dave

Q: I hold BIPC and ABBV in a US TFSA account. I want to add GOOG. I know that there is a 15% unrecoverable witholding tax on dividends and no tax on capital gains when withdrawal occurs. Since I will not be withdrawing for 5 to 10 years Should I keep these in the TFSA account or move them to a unregstered account? 80 year old value investor with some growth stocks.

Q: Share price of LLY is down again this morning (January 14) after the company reported results below analysts’ expectations. For the longer term the company’s forward guidance (just-issued) is slightly above expectations. What do you have as PEG please? Given the firm's latest results and fwd guidance, what would you say is a reasonable price range to buy at :
(1) for a longer-term hold ; and
(2) what would be reasonable price range for a parent aged 75 whose portfolios is tilted towards high growth companies— or would you avoid LLY in the latter case? :ao:sab
