Q: Hi Peter, according to Analytics I need more core US Growth and Dividend stocks in the RRSP & LIRA accounts, so could you please provide me with 4 stocks for each of the following sectors:- Industrials, Discretionary, Staples and Healthcare.

Q: Good morning 5i,

I hold the following industrial/material stocks in my RRSP: GEV (2%), FIX (2%) ETN (1.5%), HEI (1.5%), RTX (1.3%), GE (1.2%), LIN(1.2%), EME (1%), VRT (.5%). I also own AXON (3%).

I would like to increase the weight of some of these positions - ideally through consolidation. Could you please put these in order of conviction (growth) for a 5 - 10+ year hold. Are there any that you would sell outright? Would you recommend any other industrials?

Q: I am currently overweight tech in general (36%) and NBIS (9%) in particular. I reluctantly feel I need to reduce my exposure to NBIS and, as I am underweight industrials, am in search of suggestions for growth-focused US industrials. Would you kindly provide 3-5 names of mid to large cap industrials you are reasonably confident can match or outperform the NASDAQ over time? AXON and WSP already held. Thank you.

Q: Oracle's outlook seems to have reverberated through adjacent companies with VRT, MOD, etc., etc., all popping. Ellison has made some pretty remarkable statements about expected growth over the next 4 years, and he does not appear, to me anyway, to be overselling.

My question is about three areas to look at:
1) Other cloud service providers.
2) The nuts and bolts builders of the data centers.
3) Companies in the electrical storage areas that might service the above.

However I have one main caveat, I am only interested in companies that have not had a 1,000% gain in the last 5 years. I know that might seem like a ridiculous criterion, but I keep imagining MOD or STRL investors running for the hills on a serious market pullback.

We sold two stocks that had were poor performers but they improved in the past few months in our RRSP. Can you rank the following stocks to purchase if we were to initiate a 1/4 position today for a 5-year hold? Our intention is to start 2 or 3 positions to see where they go, and add funds to the best two over time.
Would the ranking be the same for a TFSA or non-reg account?

Q: ETN is a theme play that is on the move. I'm thinking of selling UNH (considered defensive) and buying ETN even though it is more cyclical in nature. Other healthcare names held are ABBV, ABT, BSX, ISRQ, LLY (starting position), and SYK. Currently, health care makes up 9.71% of the total portfolio compared to industrial at 19.12%......What do you say about this stock change? And other suggestions are most welcomed!.....Tom

Q: Electrification seems to be a big theme going forward. Can you suggest some companies, large and small cap, and any utilities that stand to benefit the most from this . I would assume Hammond would be a beneficiary.

Q: Though different, of these three companies, which would likely have a better run in the electrification theme? Are there better US plays on the theme?

Q: I am contemplating a switch from Rockwell Automation into Eaton. It seems like I would be moving into a better asset. But am I making the classic mistake of selling a name that has nothing but bad news baked into its stock for a stock that has perfection baked into its price? Does Rockwell getting 'less bad' have more upside than Eaton 'keeping on' and I am making a bad switch? Thoughts?
