Q: I am currently underweight Health and Financials in the U.S. Can you please provide your top 3-5 picks for each based on current valuations and considering a 5 year+ timeframe??

Q: I currently hold all these stocks, with the exception of elf. I came up with the thanks in large part to 5i as these are names that have come up in various Q&As. If you had to pick only 10 to hold long term (which for me is 1 year), what would be your ten? The 10 should be those that are the best expected performs regardless of diversification or risk. Just the top 10. Alternately., would you suggest holding them all but with different weightings and if so please comment on a suggested weighting.

My plan was to hold 10 with 10% in each but I’m not married to that idea.

Q: I have partial psitions in these Financial stocks. Would you add to the Financial sector at this stage? I have full positions in large Canadian banks. Which from my list or any others that you like would you be comfortable adding to full positions. Please rank those that you would be comfortable adding to full positiond today and target buy prices for any others that you still like.

Q: Following a recent question about a Canadian TFSA account. For a growthy TFSA contribution for 2024, which U.S. companies would you recommend ? Please rank based on potential gains for a 3-5 year period, with a brief comment on each one. Moderate to high(ish) risk is fine.

Q: I was interested in your reply to Ronnie today (14th) on U.S. growth suggestions. As individual securities you suggested IBKR, LPLA, CELH, CROX, DUOL. If I was to add HEI, ADI and ULTA to that list could you rank all 8 for say 5 yr pure growth potential and then re-rank if one was seeking a balance of both growth and safety? Thank you.

Q: The U.S. is growing much faster than Canada. Canada’s much slower economic growth relative to the U.S. seems to be related namely mortgage debt, Given this situation, can you suggest 1) Individual U.S. stocks for capital gain 2) Individual U.S. stocks that pay dividends, and 3) U.S. ETFs? Q: Hi, I have a 2.5% position in SCHW (down 25%) and am looking to sell while keeping exposure to the financial sector.

MKTX and CME score highly on my evaluations and others listed are pretty decent too. Curious on your thoughts on a suitable, safe replacement.

This is in my LIRA and I'm looking to hold for 10+ years (was also the case for SCHW, but I'm concerned wrt their exposure from their long term bonds).

Q: With the recent moves to zero commissions in the US IBKR has taken a significant hit in price. Would you suggest selling this company and putting money in something like SYF or MRVL. Concern is IBKR growth is going to be very limited over the next few years.
