Q: 1. out of the above stocks, which one or two (order of preference) should be transferred to a TFSA?
2. are all of these worth continuing to hold? (esp DOCU)

Q: Hi,
I am wondering about whether or not replacing stocks sold for a tax loss strategy is prudent, or not. All of the above listed stocks are at a loss in a taxable account. I am looking to offset a large profit that occurred in July when a number of stops were hit. The loss on GSY and SBUX is not terribly large, and so if it is deemed these stand a good chance of rebounding in the early part of 2022, then I may decided to keep them. In selling any of the stocks listed, are their replacements I could purchase that would likely add some growth? The alternative being just wait out the 30 day period and repurchase the strongest of the list. Your thoughts and suggestions would be most appreciated! Both have had a nice pullback recently and Oracle has made a big purchase. Could you give me your opinion of both (plus and minus) and which would be your favourite for a 4 to 5 year hold.

(Also i2i fund 1.5%)
Are there any red flags here or changes that you would recommend for a growth/balance portfolio? The rest of my portfolio is a cross between your (5i's) balance and growth funds.

I am leaning towards going all in with my borrowed chips for swing trades. This would be separate from my long term holdings. I would appreciate your opinion please.

Towards that objective, I have short listed the following:
AMAT, TER, ATVI, GNRC, COF, MS, BAC, LSPD, AFRM.

I think diversification does not matter for swing trades and, understanding that this is a crap shoot could you please suggest approx. 5-6 stocks, either from this list or others that you would suggest.

I want to re arrange my TFSA and seek your advice, I own a lot of Topicus in my TFSA and have been considering selling it to buy something else, for two reasons. First, it is close to CSU and I have a lot of that, too. so, I would like to delute that concentration. Also, I want a US company with high premiums that I can sell options on. My preference would be Nvidia. But, because Topicus has gone down so much, lately, I would like to get someting good that has gone down as much as it. Therefore I was looking mostly at Square. APPs might give me a faster ride. < in both directions, thought!> but Square might be more reliable for a retired person. Appreciate any suggestions and, as always, respect and value your judgement

I have a pretty well balanced portfolio and am currently a little overweight tech. That said I am torn on weather to take a loss on $Sq and buy something like $CRWD or $Apps as I want to keep the growth tech. I am down 20%. The tax write off is a small help but not the decision maker. With that is mind do you think $sq has more upside vs the other 2 listed? Would you recommend I just stay the course with $SQ?

I’m in the process of rebalancing my RRSP and TFSA and looking to be greedy while others are fearful.
Specifically moving TD, FTS, T, and LNF to an RRSP so that my TFSA can be growth oriented.
My remaining TFSA positions would be as follows:
- Half Positions: NVEI, EGLX, LSPD, WELL, U, APPS, BAM.A, SIS, DND, BYD, MITK
- Full Positions: GSY, TOI, CRWD, ATZ

I am planning to deploy as follows:
- Complete existing positions: NVEI, LSPD, APPS, U
- New Partial Positions: AT, XYL
- New Full Positions: DOL, SHOP, VEEV, ANRG, ATD, TIXT
Would you swap out anything on this list that would better compliment my existing positions? I have a 10+ year horizon so I’m leaning towards aggressiveness.

Q: I bought these (and others) for growth, and was doing well, but am now in the red on these holdings. I bought for a five-year hold, so don’t need to sell anything, but I would ask, do you see any that should be sold or any that I could be adding to for a January bounce? Thanks!
