Q: Hello Peter,

Sam Altman wants to raise $7T for AI chips in the future. He's looking to the UAE for investments. Thoughts, comments? Will this likely be a new private venture or is there a possibility that he may explore any current publicly traded firms to partner (in terms of funnelling cash into, etc.)?

Next, what are some names that could benefit from this current theme and or Sam and others from diving into the chip design, manufacturers, etc. What are your top names for years out in this space, and a few comments on each. Let's rock!

Finally, Cybersecurity and protection of critical infrastructure is and will be huge. Top names in this space, ranked in terms of future outperformance?

Q: I have funds for 2 of the above. Please rank 1-4 in the order you would invest today for maximum growth over 5 years. If there is an industrial/materials that has yet to be discussed in the 5i pages that should be considered, then please include. Thanks

Q: Hello, I recently sold my rental property in 2022, and I now have funds sitting in the bank, earning interest. My ultimate goal is to invest this money wisely and create a portfolio that can serve as an inheritance for my loved ones. I am currently in the process of assembling a collection of high-quality stocks.

For me, the presence or absence of dividends is not a decisive factor when selecting stocks. Could you kindly recommend two top-performing stocks in each sector of the global market? These core holdings will play a crucial role in achieving my long-term financial objectives.

As of now, I have already purchased shares in NVIDIA (NVDA), Meta, Intuitive Surgical (ISRG), Alphabet (GOOGL), Canada: Goeasy (GSY), Nuvei (NVEI), Definity Finacial (DFY), Boyd Group(BYD), Thomson Reuters (TRI), Aritzia (ATZ), and Nutrien (NTR).

Thank you in advance for your valuable insights.

Q: What are your top buys (3) right now if you were investing in a mix of growth, quality, and somewhat reasonable valuation? With your answer/explanation can you include fwd p/e or whatever relevant metrics vs peers?

Also, what's a quality stock or two you'd like to buy but would want to see come down a bit/something you'd be looking to pick up in a broad market selloff?

Q: Hello, can you suggest 5 consumer stocks and 5 industrial stocks, either in Canada and US, with a brief reason for each suggestion. I am trying to re-balance my portfolio and I am overweight in tech right now. Thanks!

Q: I already hold a bit of TFII and WSP but would like more in industrials. I’m thinking of either adding to TFII or starting a position in STN or TT. Is there still good reason to add to TFII? If not, both STN and TT have good momentum, but as I already hold WSP, would TT make more sense?

Thanks.

Q: I hold ROP HEI WSP ATS TFII AXON VRT in the industrial sector. 5i has also recommended TT TDG RTX and URI. I would like to sort out which could be sold [in whole or in part] and which could be added to. For a long-term hold, which could go and which would you advise to be the core for this sector.
Thanks

Q: The two least profitable stocks in my entire portfolio are SIS (up an anemic 6% after two years) and PBH (up 10% in the same time period). I'd like to replace both with something growthier - but here's the catch - I want similar dividends (+/- 1%) and I want Canadian replacements in the same sector. My only other Consumer Defensive is COST. Current industrials are WSP, HPS.A, J, and TFII. I would welcome your speculation on how SIS and PBH are likely to grow this year...and what potential replacements might be. Thank you.
