Q: Thank you for the invaluable service you provide and from which I heavily rely on. The following stocks are in my grandchildren's RESP account: ARX, CLS, CNQ, ENB, RY, SLF, TD, TOU, TVE, VHI and WSP.
I have cash to deploy and would appreciate five NEW stock ideas along with suggestions on which EXISTING stocks, if any, you would add to, both in descending order. (I just sold IFC and TRI, so am not interested in adding either of them)Thanks.

Q: A follow up to Mark's question on Oct 2nd regarding buying the Canadian Big Banks, you mentioned that you would not need to buy the banks in a portfolio. Can you elaborate and explain the thought process. Also how would you allocate a portfolio in terms of weighting in such a scenario.

Q: Hi, I own RY shares in both Cdn and USD, and see that the USD tends to lag the Cdn by a little. Is that due to conversion, or just the RY stock doesn't have as much momentum in the US? Not a big thing, just curious - and I figured you'd have the answer - as you always do! Thanks!

Q: Not that I'm complaining, but what is with Canadian bank stocks in the last six months? I'm used to slow, plodding stocks, and they are rivalling Google for momentum. All of them are up from 23%-38% in the last six months with no sign of a slowdown. It's not like we have a booming economy.

Q: RBC makes up 25% of my equity holdings. I have a profit of 42%. Based on my purchase price I am receiving a 5% yield. Several months ago I reduced RY holdings by 20% due to gains. If it were you, at what % would you be comfortable?

Q: I am looking for a position in my income portfolio and would like to choose from CPX, CM and TD.
It would seem that Canada is heading into a recession and that would affect the bank earnings, more significantly CIBC than the others.
CPX on the other hand has missed earnings, maintained guidance and has dropped and likely to recover?
Which one would you choose to add?

Q: Hi group am short on healthcare and financials'.

Should i add to LLy on present weakness or ISRG /United health also on weakness seems like United and LLY are the best choices due to the pullback.? what do you think or is there a better play in the sector?

Q: Hi group the above stocks i sold 1/2 of my folio about 3 months ago/ yes at a tidy profit. My question is I am 75 years old and have $100,000 to reinvest (20% of my total portfolio)...(dry power) i do not need any cash to supplement my income for at least 5 years unless the market falls of a cliff because of Trump/Tariffs. I would say I am a sleep at night investor So the question is what to do now wait or start nibbling now. These stocks make up about 70% of the total portfolio

Q: My mortgage is coming due at a much higher rate than it has been for the past 5 years, so given the current economic uncertainty, I’ve decided to sell half of my unregistered portfolio to pay it off. I understand this will incur tax, and I’m prepared for that. Here are my holdings—please advise on the optimal order of selling to ensure the remaining portfolio is defensive, particularly against tariffs and economic uncertainty. Q: Hi group can you please comment on Capitol direct trust - last quarter they paid out 9% + over last 3 yrs they have averaged 7+ %. What is your assessment of the risk rewards in this sector i suspect that restrictions on liquidly and management fees are concerns but the attractive quarterly payout are very attractive in this unstable market overall your thoughts please.
