Q: Hi Peter, Ryan and 5i team,
It’s that time of year to contribute to our grandson’s RESP (age 9). After rebalancing and adding new money we can add two stocks to the portfolio. To broaden the sectors , we are looking at utilities, healthcare, and real estate. Could you please suggest a name in each sector .
Thank you for your opinion.

Q: I’ve held PBH through thick and thin for over 5 years waiting for the “growth” to materialize and yet after this time I’m down nearly 20%. How long do you give a company to perform before moving on? Even if I was just breaking even I’d have some more patience with this but the opportunity cost of 5 lost years and a 20% loss is telling me it’s time to find something else. Your perspective would be appreciated. Thanks.

Q: Hello, I am underweight Consumer Defensives, currently having only a small position in Costco.

Could you rank your favourite ideas in this sector with growth potential and current valuation as important criteria?

Thank you, Doris

Q: Hello 5i team,
I was thinking of selling the rest of my NTR (a bit of CAE) shares to start a position in PBH. This is more to have a non-cyclical position since I currently have none.

In your last report on PBH you state that their dept is Medium/High. How well are they servicing their dept (paying it down or adding to it)?

PBH has also been growing their dividend over the past 5 years, what is the payout ratio for it's dividend? Has the payout ratio increased over the years?

Thank You,
Andrew

Q: I am planning to sell these stocks for tax loss purposes. Can you suggest a proxy for each? I was thinking FTS for AQN, and possibly not buy it back, and perhaps not buying back OTEX either. Others planning to buy back after the 30 days. Your thoughts on whether or not buying back OTEX and AQN a good idea also appreciated.

thanks,

Q: Hi, holding these three as my staples holdings. Current weights:

ATD - 2.44%
COST - 2.37%
PBH - 1.30%

Thinking of selling the laggard PBH and adding to ATD/COST or just maybe COST. What do you think about this? Is PBH a buy, sell, or hold? Can you compare the three in terms of valuation and which would be best going forward for growth.

Thanks!

Q: Can you supply a few suggestions of dividend stocks that may be good to purchase during tax loss selling? Canadian and US if possible.
A few growth stocks would be a good balance to this question as well! Thanks, James
