Thanks Mike B

Q: The two least profitable stocks in my entire portfolio are SIS (up an anemic 6% after two years) and PBH (up 10% in the same time period). I'd like to replace both with something growthier - but here's the catch - I want similar dividends (+/- 1%) and I want Canadian replacements in the same sector. My only other Consumer Defensive is COST. Current industrials are WSP, HPS.A, J, and TFII. I would welcome your speculation on how SIS and PBH are likely to grow this year...and what potential replacements might be. Thank you.

Q: Hello, I need to reduce my financials and beef up my industrials and materials. I own TD, RY and SLF, and will trim reluctantly as they have all done well for me over the years. I already have TFII, ATS, and NTR. What would you suggest for Industrials and materials. Add to existing or add new companies? As a retired sort, I prefer Canadian stocks eligible for the Dividend Tax Credit but iI am underweight the US so f you have much better US suggestions please advise.
Many thanks

Q: If one needed to raise some cash and had a choice between the 3 choices listed (WSP, BEP.UN, GLD); what should one consider?

In what order would you sell and why? Does one have more positive / negative outlooks vs the other?

Thanks as always for your help!

Q: A family member entering post-secondary school owns these stocks in their TFSA on an approximate equal weighting of $4,000. They have $8,000 to contribute and invest this fiscal.

The objective is growth with some risk; maintenance of capital is a secondary objective.

If allocating in $4,000 increments would you add to one or more of the existing investments or are there one or two you think would be better suited to a young investor over a 3 - 5 year investment horizon?

Thanks so much.

Q: I have the above stocks in my TSFA account. All about equal weighted. Which stock would you add the $7000 2024 contribution to?

Or do you not favour any of the above and have another suggestion?

Thanks for everything and happy Holidays to everyone.

Dave.

Q: Hi. I'm currently over weight in Consumer Defensives (BYD, PBH & PRWM) and under weight in Industrials (WSP, TFII, STN & SIS).
I'm thinking of selling PRMW and buying EIF. Based on future prospects do you think this trade makes sense. I intend to hold for a few years. Thanks!

Q: Hi Folks,

My RRSP portfolio consists of the above stocks all with relatively the same weighing. Can you suggest 5 names or so, (CDN and U.S) that I take a look at that would complement the above? I am looking for a company that would be a good buy today for both income and capital appreciation - total return.
Thanks

Q: Industrials 12% target allocation - what allocation do you advise? I have Full positions in WSP VRT and Partial Positions in ATS TFII HEI and AXON. Based on your advice, I would also like to have positions in URI HON TRI TIH HPS.A. Need to sort out what to own as Full and partial positions. Please rank for full and partial positions with entry prices for those not owned and what to drop from this list. I have a bias for serial acquierers along the lines of CSU.

Q: Hello,
My holding of Waste Connections has increased substantially in value. The stock price is slipping and there seem to be a number of concerns with debt and return on capital. Your detailed comments would be appreciated.

Are there some industrials with better future prospects? What industrials could WCN be replaced with and why would they be any better?

Thank you,
V
