Q: Planning on setting up an income portfolio of dividend growing equities. Would the above stocks meet this objective. Already own BAM, BNS, CNQ, DIR.UN, ENB, FRU, FTS, IFC, PEY, POW, SLFm TRP and WCP. Are there other equities other than the above list that you would recommend substituting for one or more of them? Thanks for your thoughts.

Q: Friday’s meeting between Mark Carney and the Premiers promises to lead to increased spending and capital to build infrastructure related to natural resources, alternative energy and technology. There seems to be a vibe consistent with Brookfield visions and foci. Carney may in fact be a catalyst to moving the Canadian economy out of the current malaise. Skepticism is warranted but are there any specific stocks that we should consider in light of what could develop rather quickly?

Q: I am opening a TFSA and would like to transfer some of my holdings to that account, which I know I have in my RRSP (sell and re-purchase). My thinking is holding the items which offer more growth potential. Is this a good argument in deciding where to hold various holdings? From the following names, which would you think make more sense to hold in my TFSA than in my RRSP?
AEM, ATZ, BN, DSG, GSY, LMN, SHOP, TRP, TRI, WSP, TOI

Q: In a TFSA, I am down ~30% in both HPS.A and DOO, both of which were smaller positions and now both represent ~0.5% of total equity holdings (so ~1% combined).

If the goal was absolute growth over the long term with a high risk tolerance would you continue to hold or sell at a loss these two securities?

If you were to sell please rank from high to low which of the current securities in the account you would recommend.

Q: With the pull-back, I want to take positions in the above at an appropriate weighting for a long term hold - the Canadian holdings and NVDA at full position, the others at 2-3%. Could you mark them at todays levels as buy, partial buy, watch or don't buy, and make any appropriate back-up comments. Thank-you!

Q: Now that WSP has also reported, could you please give a short update on your answer today? Given STN's results, what do you think is better to open a position in: STN, or WSP at the moment? Thank you
