Investment Q&A

Not investment advice or solicitation to buy/sell securities. Do your own due diligence and/or consult an advisor.

Q: I already hold a bit of TFII and WSP but would like more in industrials. I’m thinking of either adding to TFII or starting a position in STN or TT. Is there still good reason to add to TFII? If not, both STN and TT have good momentum, but as I already hold WSP, would TT make more sense?

Thanks.

Q: Further to Rajeev's question ie: the STN offering, how do offerings like this work ? As the price is at a discount to the current price, it seems unfair to existing shareholders. Are they given first opportunity or is it just open to the public ? Why would'nt a big player just buy and then sell the position in the market to skin the difference ? Is there a period that buyers have to hold ? How would an individual participate ? Thank you,

Q: Could you give some suggestions for Canadian companies with a growth profile that pay a div you would hold in a TSFA.

Thanks

Q: The Federal, Ontario and Quebec governments have all announced significant infrastructure spending in their budgets. This should be good for infrastructure companies. Which stock do you think is most promising for a new position? I have held WSP in the past and was surprised to see it down 1% today despite the positive news. At a PE of 47.6X is does not look cheap.

Q: This is a volatile sector. I am a GARP-type investor. Taking into account, management [execution], valuation, which one [or others if prefer US] would you recommend for a long-term total return position., with rationale for preference. Could you suggest entry price range.
Thank you.

Q: These companies all seem to be at a premium to P/B ratios and have similar dividend yields and WSP is likely the company that is not a direct comparison within the group but all would be industrial based in my mind. Would you please rank your order of preference of the three for a three to five year timeframe. Thank you!

Q: In reviewing questions regarding infrastructure WSP Global and Jacobs Engineering appear to be among your favorites. How how would you rank them against each other and is there another 1 or 2 worthy of consideration?

As always thanks for the great service.
