Investment Q&A

Not investment advice or solicitation to buy/sell securities. Do your own due diligence and/or consult an advisor.

Q: I hold approximate 5% of my portfolio in Crypto stocks (ETF's and Mining companies). With the SEC's approval of ETF's should I consider selling a few of the above and purchasing one of these new ETF's and if so, which one would you recommend. Thanks

Q: 5i has given our family some very good investment ideas. Among the good ones that have benefitted our accounts lately are LMN and HPS.A. Thank you for these. Using your crystal ball what would be your best suggestion for a couple of other similar stocks that might replicate these growth stories over the next year. Thank you.

Q: hi, would you consider these more on the risky side, or just smaller cap? I read Hammond EPS around 15 which seems fine to me. I can't find an EPS on LMN?
is this a decent entry point for each? if not, what price would be a more reasonable entry point?
cheers, Chris

Q: Recently, David Friedberg was asked for his prediction for the worse performing asset in 2024. He said he would be short vertical market software (SaaS) and be long cloud providers that have AI tools and platforms that will allow enterprises to build their own custom applications in a low-cost, low code way. If things play out this way, do you feel it could pose a risk to CSU’s business model?

Q: BNS has been a big disappointment for many years. With every year that passes, I say to myself to be patient and give it more time. The new CEO needs time, the acquisitions need time, the valuation is attractive, reversion to the mean is a powerful force, 5i really likes it etc etc. Yet each year, there is no improvement.

I just looked at TD's EPS Consensus Expectations for 2024, and they are less than 2023! Earnings for 2023 were poor, and considerable lower than 2022 and 2021.

Please tell me why I should continue holding on.

Thanks
