Q: Hi Folks,
I am an income investor. One to two years to go before retirement.
My portfolio is out of balance.
Low weightings in Basic Materials, Consumer Cyclical, Consumer Defensive, Health Care, Industrials and Tech..
Also need more US and international exposure.
Please provide some income suggestions for these economic sectors in the US and Internationally.
Thanks very much.

Q: Hi 5i
I am looking to rebalance my consumer cyclical and defensive portions of my portfolio.
I would very much appreciate your recommendations on the better CDN and US stocks to consider in these areas. I have reviewed your portfolios and reports and am very much a dividend opportunist but would not shy away from growth

Thank you

Peter

Q: If the hoped-for consumer spending rebound happens in say the second half of 2021, which companies ( us or cdn) should benefit the most? Are there ETF's that would cover the category that you would suggest? Many thanks

Q: Hello 5i team
As a front line (nearly retired) physician, I recently received a Covid 19 immunization. It's difficult to express the REMARKABLE sense of gratitude and euphoria that I observed among everyone involved . Suddenly, we felt liberated from the danger of this scourge that we face daily. Our next exciting job is to immunize our fellow citizens as fast as humanly possible and as we do, this euphoria will spread to society at large.
After my immunization I bought a new car and we're booking our fall and winter travel plans. This manic behaviour, I believe, represents the tip of the iceberg for pent up demand which will be unleashed upon the world.
At the risk of being labelled a mercenary can you identify some sectors which are still beaten up and likely to surge-I'm thinking energy but other suggestions welcome (prefer etf's with a dividend to keep me invested until the recovery occurs-would supplement with high conviction stocks)
Thank you. As always, I value your opinions, Regards gary

Q: Hi, This is a list of potential momentum companies that you had suggested to another member. When I go into the 5i profile for each one, they all have negative P/E's except BKNG.
Am I reading this correctly - are they all losing money?

Q: Happy New year 🥳.
Could you name 3 to 5 Canadian and US high growth momentum stocks that you feel would likely do well in 2021 irrespective of size, industry etc. Also, could you include in that list one of your favourite high growth silver producer?
Thank you

Q: The geography of the following according to my Alpha-Balanced portfolio are US.
BEPC-3.55%: CRWD-3.42%: VFV-3.59%:VEEV-1.99%: VGG 3.95% for a total of approximately 17%. I would like to increase this to approximately 25%.
In addition to the above I own the following dual listed stocks.
LSPD-10.28%: SHOP-5%: T-3.61%
Moving cash from unregistered C$ to unregistered U$ account. Would you consider adding to any of the above or do you have an alternate suggestion,
In the portfolio I’m overweight tech & industrials.

Underweight materials and energy. Not a fan of oil or gold .

Roy
In addition I own the following that have dual listing.

Q: I have a considerable base of my portfolio in CDN banks. The share prices are approximately flat from where I bought them. Is there any catalyst to make banks outperform in the next year or 2? It feels like there have to be sectors that will bounce well with a recovery and wondering about diverting some funds there to try to catch the bounce on a return to travel and the like. I have nibbled at Air Canada and wonder about some other names that have a high likelihood of surviving and bouncing nicely. Canada or US, moderate risk is OK. Thanks!

Q: amazon , shopify etc , shares have soared during the pandemic season. If things begin to turn around and people leave their homes to shop again , what might a person want to be invested into to ride the next wave excluding big names like Costco and home depot Etc, thanks. no Rush on the answer.

Q: Trimmed my SHOP (thank you for that one!) above 1500 as it got to be too big part of my overall portfolio. I'm considering WYNN, WSP, EXPE or BKNG with the proceeds to buy now. Probably will buy 2. I have lots of industrials already but little in the way of recovery trades. Please rank them in order of preference please. Merry Christmas and Best wishes in 2021. Martin

Q: I join those who have sent their compliments and thanks. My success has had much to do with your info and advice.
Please suggest a few industrial and consumer cyclical stocks in Canada and the US for a person with moderate risk tolerance.
Stay safe and have a good year.
