Q: With regards to Peter’s article titled Five Ways To Set Up Your Investments For Inevitable Recovery Of Market, he recommends investing now in growth stocks & small & mid-cap stocks. For each of those two categories could you please recommend 5 stocks for each group that meet the parameters Peter mentioned in the article. Thanks … Cal
Q: What one to select?...that is the question for me. GOOG is trading at 20.6 x earnings and AMT at 43.1 x earnings. Wow what a difference in this metric.....Guess I go with GOOG, right?!......(Even thought keen to add to AMT)
Then there is PLC...keen to top up, like overweight as some investors are bailing out, while future revenue growth is expected to be strong for the rest of this year and 2023. PLC is now trading at 27.4 times earnings. Time to add, right?!...........Tom

Q: I have held ULTA for some time and is up nicely. It hit a new yearly high on Tuesday, I am considering selling half and adding to AAPL/AMZN/GOOG/MSFT. I feel confident that when the market turns these 4 will do well. I am not so confident about ULTA. Could I please have your thoughts? Would you sell all/half/none? If you agree, in what order would you add to the others?

Q: Good afternoon,
I'd like to increase my tech exposure.
What would be a safe weighting in your opinion of these two companies.
CSU, GOOG.
Could you please provide a decent, good and best entry point.
Thank you very much.

Q: Hello 5i
Recently you replied to a question regarding covered calls. You said you like high volatility companies for this strategy. In other places you said that you do not tend to write calls on core holdings. Just wondering what stocks you currently prefer for this strategy, that are not, or maybe, your core holdings
thanks

Q: What do you realistically think would be a good price to buy Google considering the volatility in the markets these days? Under $110?
Q: Hello 5I,

Q: Hello
Presently ATZ is 4.29% of my RRSP account. I have done well as a result of your help.
I am thinking of selling half of my ATZ and increasing my holding in GOOG that is only 1% of my RRSP holdings.
My thinking is GOOG is huge and appears to be safer based on its size.
Your comments please.
Thank you
Mike

Q: With 1,000 shares of Alexco I will wind up with 116 shares of Hecla. I'm inclined to just sell and take my losses since I have no other US stocks. Any suggestions??
Q: I have taken a look at my distribution of investments, and determined that I have more room to enter an additional position in the technology space. I was gung-ho on starting a position with Google, until I discovered that Sylogist is currently paying a 6.86% dividend (as of yesterday's closing share price). I currently lean towards investing in more established companies that have been able to maintain market share in their area of operation, and Google definitely fits that description. Would the dividend offer by Sylogist, along with the potential upside, be a more prudent investment with someone who has a five-year time horizon, or is the steady-as-it-goes approach with Google the safer approach? As always, I look forward to your comments and insight. Thanks so much!

Q: Some time ago i asked a question regarding the merits of holding a handful of us stocks along with my US etf’s, in order to get a little extra boost. You were ok with the strategy but cautioned against the kind of stocks I held i.e. Google, nvidia, msft, Costco, abbivie. While they were good stocks you said that the problem is that they are well represented in the various etf’s and that if i wanted a “kicker” to provide boost that I should go smaller in size. I wonder if you could provide a handful of stocks that would fit that criterion and would be ones that one would want to own long term. If they were also good candidates for selling options on that would be an added bonus. Thanks for your expertise and advice.
