Q: "Thomson intends to return "at least $2 billion, which will be combined with a share consolidation or reverse stock split", to be funded by proceeds of the sale of LSEG shares later in 2023."

Do you have more information about this reverse stock split and how it might affect investors who currently hold the stock. Is it in an investors best interest to purchase more shares or wait to see what the actual transaction will be.

Q: I have space for 3 growth stocks in my TFSA. Looking at various sources, I found the above suggestions. Ideally, I am looking at 15-20% or more of annual earnings growth for the foreseeable future. How would you rank the above stocks, without regard for sectors, with a short explanation for the top 3. Also, any other suggestions? Thanks.

Q: I would like to add to my existing positions. Is it too early for KXS and GSY? Is it too late for the TRI (just reached a new high today).

Q: I am looking recommendation for a solid long term Canadian growth stock, that one can largely purchase and forget it. This is for my grandchildren's portfolios which currently have a core holding of VEQT and small satellite positions in MICROSOFT, COSTCO and Visa. The portfolios are expected to be held for a very long time. I do monitor the positions currently on a quarterly basis.

Any thoughts on this approach and possible securities that would fit the bill?

Q: Need to rebuild industrial sector holdings - assume a clean slate. What percentage to invest in each subcategory with top picks [some suggested names-please provide your 2 or 3 top picks] and target buy price would be very helpful. (1) Engineering & Construction- WSP, NVEE, J, KBR, ETN and PWR [for electrification]; (2) Transportation- CNR, CP, TFII, CJT; (3) Goods: LMT, NOC, TDG, BWXT, DE, FLNG, FREY; (4) Services: WCN, GFL, TRI. Q: Hi Peter and 5i Team,

My TFSA is made up of CSU (33%), TRI (22), VGT (17), DSG (14), GSY (14).
CSU is the core position (thank you for that recommendation) and will not be added to at this time.

With current available cash and the upcoming 2023 contribution which 2 companies out of TRI, VGT, GSY and DSG would you add to for the best growth scenario?

Thanks for all your sage advise over the years. My first 6 years of retirement have been financially successful and the dividend and share growth has been stellar. Again a big thank you to 5i!

Q: I went to cash towards the end of last year in my TFSA. It turned out to be the right move at the time but 8 months later I am still in cash and suffering from whatever the opposite of FOMO is. As a senior, who lives off investments without any employer pension, my target return is any combination of growth and income at 6% -10% or better. While I am prepared for reasonable risk I can't afford to lose the TFSA headroom for a 3-5 years while a stock recovers. I am looking for 8-10 positions and would appreciate suggestions.
