Q: Looking for your thoughts on the earnings and why the 6+% drop. I went through the news release and only issue I see was with UK and US results. Is that enough to move the stock that much in a day? The CEO seemed quite positive on the results and future prospects. Seems to have been trending down over the past month after hitting all time highs. Would you consider this current price a buying opportunity? Thanks for this great service.

Q: Peter and Team, for these 3 positions, what are your opinions of the earnings vs expectations, and the guidance released today ? In particular the IFC report seemed good though the reaction was negative. Thank you.
Q: Can you explain why CB’s PE is half of IFC? They are in the same business, and the former has better combined ratio. It baffles me.
Thanks,

Q: Hi,
The cix buyout is to close in q3.
I have about $500 of upside remaining.
I plan to sell. Would you list a few low risk, good value businesses available now? I am drawn to rci.b.

Q: Hello,
I am missing an insurer in my portfolio. IFC looks to the be obvious choice in Canada. Before buying, I thought I'd ask if there are any smaller and potentially cheaper options that would be of similar or better qauality/future prospects. Would something like TSU or DFY be considered comparable?

Q: Hit "enter" to fast on my last question. Looking for some ideas with the understanding you can't offer direct recommendations. I have 40 K to add to my non-reg account. I have full positions in all the pipelines, OLY, GWO, BNS, CU, NPI, BIR, PEY, TPZ, CNQ, PRL and BMO. I have no need for any income for at least five years, not opposed to going overweight if necessary, have lots of higher yielders so would perhaps benefit from some choices with capital gain and dividend growth potential versus just high yield.
Q: Hi Folks,
Looking at adding IFC or BRK.B to my TFSA account. May I have your opinion as to which one you would recommend if one is looking for growth and preservation of capital.
Thanks

Thanks

Q: Only within the last two months we were at record highs, now we’re in a bear marker for the Nasdaq and S&P nearing one. Futures are selling off again here Sunday night. US administration is digging the heels in on these tariffs.
What are your thoughts on the Trump and Fed put? If they don’t change course soon, the economy is going into a recession and midterms next year will be ugly for the GOP. Looking back at all previous crises, what do you think will happen in the next 6-12 months and what’s the game plan? VIX at these levels and large consecutive down days have resulted in nice future returns 1,3,5 years out. Let’s say you had 100k to invest now, how would you deploy over the upcoming weekly or monthly interval? Which 5 CDN and 5 US stocks would you continue to buy on any weakness, assuming only market related? Thank you!

Q: Hi bad day to be sure I see you suggest buying into some stocks but slowly.
What are the best sectors to buy first now that this black swan event is in play. Please give me you top 4 sectors in order of preference. Also you top 2 picks in each of the 4 also in order of preference as well please
What do you think is the worse case scenario as far as market drop % wise I release its just a guess but you guess is almost certainly better than mine at this point
