Q: I am under water in these three companies, should I keep holding them or should I sell them.

Q: My daughter has the above investments in her regular account. She has now opened a TFSA and plans to contribute regularly. The horizon is long (money not needed for 10-20 years). Her portfolio is not very well balanced. Could you offer advice on 5-8 best stocks (Canadian or available on the NEO exchange) that would be promising investments whilst improving sectorial balance?

Q: I am constructing a dividend growth portfolio with the intention of holding all positions for the longterm, holding the following equities in equal weight (likely only one of MRU or L - or should I include both?), with 80% of the portfolio consisting of these individual equities and 20% in the ETF VGG.

Would there be any in this list you would not include, and are there other Canadian equities you would consider for this list? Is this the appropriate number of positions for such a portfolio. Please deduct multiple credits as required, thank you.

Q: I am looking for companies generating >20% over 1, 3, 6 month and 1, 3, 5 and10 years with steady growth and reasonable volatility. IAG meets my criteria and has eaten IFC's lunch over the above noted reporting periods. Would you endorse IAG and can you suggest other Canadian stocks meeting the same criteria. Thank you

Q: Hi,
Could you illustrate to us all what type of companies/stocks and/or sectors historically have performed the best ( or least worst ) over periods of recession/depression/stagflation and war times? And further, can you provide your top 5-10 CDN stocks that you think would do best in these situations, with at least half of them dividend payers please, if possible. Q: My son (23) has 9000$ to invest in his first TFSA (he already has a FHSA account that is maxed out). He wants to open a TFSA investing account. Do you have a recommendation for how he breaks up the 9000.00 (ie. 3 stocks)? Are there any sectors that he should focus on at first? Do any particular stocks jump out at you as suitable for this kind or foray into the market?
