Q: I am not particularly proud to acknowledge that I own the above- but I do. ENGH and OTEX are in accounts that are structured for income and some growth, while DSG is in an account that is looking for primarily growth. Canadian traded is key for all. Looking for your input on these companies and whether there are better options that I am missing.
No hurry to reply; deduct credits as necessary.
Seconding the comment today regarding your recent report. Well done and I hope that now you have it you continue to update it as companies come and go. It is a great resource.

Q: After a quiet year, P&C Insurance stocks are showing some buyers' interest, over past 2 months. We sold IFC and FFH positions, late last year. Do you think, the sector is showing some strength and it is a good time to re enter ?

If Yes, what would be your preferred route- Fairfax or Intact and why ?

In my personal view, Fairfax stock has shown remarkable resilience vis-a-vis Intact and Co is more diversified, with several interesting investments like Foran mining, Orla mining etc and potential for more similar investments. ( They sold their position in Eurobank ).

Q: These stocks are held in my wife's RRIF - just turned 71 - start withdrawing 2026. QSR, NTR ,GSY & GRT.UN small positions. GSY added this year. Thinking of selling GRT.UN - stock has not done much & very small dividend increaser, QSR (500 shs) small position - not big dividend grower - thinking of selling, NTR held fora while - up a fair bit 44%, 500 shs - sell? Comments if you agree with my analysis and if so, what should buy or add to this account?

Based on anticipated total return (dividends + stock price increase) for the next five years expectations. I began investing last year and have the following portfolio/down rounded up: GOOG: 6%, BN 7%, CSU 4%, DOL 4%, ENB 7%, HXS 9.5%, IFC 5.5%, META 4%, SHOP 7%, WSP 5%, AXON 4%, BRKB 6.5%, ISRG 6.5%, NVDA 2.5%, CRM 2%, AEM 1.2%, BAM 6%, H 1%, LMN 2%, AMZN 5%. I have about 40% cash to add in. Can you please advise of the following: 1. any key stocks you would recommend I add? Please prioritize with 1 being highest recommendation and 5 being lowest recommendation. 2. Any stocks you would recommend I sell? I am interested in a 5 year view. Thank you so much!

My kids have a family RESP. Oldest child will be starting post-secondary in 9 years.

Currently have GLXY, BN, SIS and T.
What will be good holdings to add to this? If sector diversification is not taken into consideration, what will be good to add?

Q: Besides CNR, NWC, TIH, and BN, I'm looking for 5 other quality Canadian companies that have at least somewhat of a moat, and are resistant to AI and other types of disruptions to their businesses. I'm looking for companies that are not technology, banks, pipelines, materials or the other Brookfields. Can you please help? By the way, if you do not agree with the four I've listed, you can also let me know.

Q: Good morning, could you please identify 8 "safer" companies you see at or close to the bottom of their trough at this time that have a dividend (% of dividend does not matter)? For example my guess would be CNR which was at $178 in March 2024 and now at $135 with a yield of 2.63% at this price.
