Q: Have a couple of stocks in LSPD and SNAP that have performed poorly over the last year. Was thinking about replacing with Lumine Group and AEHR. Do you think a trade like this would make sense. Would there be other stocks that have high upside that you would also consider? Thank you

Q: Hi All at 5i!
I am giving my portfolio a spring cleaning. I have Arkk, Apps and Unity software, all of which are down significantly. I do not need the money and can hold these for at least 5 years. Is there hope for any of them should the market start performing better or are there inherent problems with them and should I just let them go . Your opinion is highly valued. Cheers, Tamara

I trust that you are well.


I have the unflattering distinction of having been in the markets for at least twenty years and I have missed every fortune-making opportunity during that time. Examples: railways, Amazon, Google, Apple, cannabis, crypto (to a lesser extent), Microsoft, Berkshire, Canadian banks, telecoms, Shopify, CSU and anything else that had a great run (and continues to have a great run). You name it, I missed it.

It would be refreshing to bring this proto-Maple-Leafean losing streak to an end. So,
perhaps you could suggest some industries that are going to be big. Perhaps you could suggest some young Microsofts or the like living amongst us.

Also, would you comment on FLT.V? Do you this company is worth taking a flyer on?
Do you think the drone delivery industry is going to take off? I don't even need it to really take off. I just need there to be at least one gust of retail enthusiasm to keep industry valuations aloft for a bit.

I saw Mark Rober video about drone usage in an African country. He seems to think it is a very effective delivery method.

I am going to make an executive decision here, and ask all 5i staff to drop everything and dig deep into this industry and provide a report which: 1) estimates the likelihood of drone delivery being the next big thing 2) suggest some names to invest in.

Q: If I sold my remaining shares in lightspeed I would like to invest the money in a higher quality company. Could you provide a few names that would fit this description as well as growth upside especially in a market turn-around. Any sectors are fine.

Q: Hi, On his BNN appearance, Feb 13, Peter was very positive on the stock " We do consider it one of the best industrial stocks right now." Peter also indicated having visited the facilities/plants and met the Management, at the time he owned a large chunk of the Co., while managing funds for a large Canadian institution. Stock has seen a phenomenal run over past 9 months (+65%) and YTD +30%. ATS also appears to have grown to a 7% weight in the 5iGrowth Portfolio.

We have taken a starter 1% position, over past 2 weeks, to complement Industrials in our portfolio.

Could you (Peter) kindly share your current view of the company, with respect to its management, valuation, debt and Growth prospects. Also, in light of such a strong run up in the share price, would you still be comfortable adding at current levels or wait for a pullback ( If it happens, at all ), for a long term investment ?

Q: Hi Team,

Evidently the Q4 wasn't spectacular...I do have a few questions in particular:

1. The 2023 guidance for EBITDA and EPS has quite a range, to me this almost looks like saying 'we have no idea' what do you make of this?

2. Just below the guidance in the press release there is talk of 'Actual Profits' vs the prior 'Assumed Profits', what is this and is this a good/bad/no effect change?

3. Your overall thought on the results and if you see this decline as an opportunity?

Q: Hi Folks,
I have a question concerning what affect a recession would have on Tech stocks such as Apple, Microsoft, Google and even Constellation Software?
I am nibbling away at buying these now but I am wondering whether I should wait to finish buying my full position on each until the recession is over.
