Q: With respect to a plan to sell ENGH, a recent question said “ Recently Ceo left, and in my humble opinion, the whole Board should be gone too.” In fact it was the president Vince Mifsud who left and the CEO Steve Sadler is still there. Personally, I am adding to my position in ENGH as it is hard to find asset-light businesses with no debt, lots of cash and generating more each quarter, paying a 3.33% yield and with a 15% return on invested capital. IMHO investors should focus on owning quality businesses and trust management to prudently grow the business. Who knows why Mifsud left? I trust Mr. Sadler to wisely invest the surplus cash as opportunities arise.

Q: Howdy!

CIX is conducting a NCIB at a price of $17.50. Should this be seen as a good sign that CIX will actually go beyond $17.50 within a year and that I should not tender?

I got in ENGH at around $31. I am itching to bail. Is staying put for a few more quarters a better plan?

Thank you!

Q: The following stocks were in your Stock Screener Canadian Dividend Machines. Please give me you thoughts on them. Would you buy them at current levels? How would you rank them for combination of growth and dividend for the next two years?

Q: Could you please compare the key financial metrics of OTEX vs ENGH and tell me which one you feel is the better long term hold and why. Finally, is there a canadian tech company you prefer to either of these 2?

Many Thanks
Scott

Q: Hi,
Is MG a buy? It looks like it has a reasonable valuation. Tailwinds? Headwinds?

I've been holding CIX for about a year now. Got in at about $20. Can we expect some upward movement given the share buybacks and the large economic context?

ENGH...is it reasonable to expect this stock to get to 35 or so any time soon?

Yours kindly,
David

Q: Hold all four in growth oriented TFSA for several years now. How much overlap do you see among them? How would you rank them first (best) to last? Are any need to own? If reducing number of these four holdings, which ones would you trim or eliminate? Any that could be increased as position size of each is less than 1.5% of total of all portfolios?

Q: Hello,
I have owned these 3 stocks for a few years now and doing some portfolio cleanup and wondering if still worth holding - long term. I don’t trade. Can you please briefly comment on their potential individually and if some should be sold, in what order in your opinion. Thank you.

Q: You recently said that trimming the weeds in a portfolio is something to believe in. Is SYZ a weed? I have held this stock for more than ten years and 5i's coverage of it was one of the reasons for my original subscription. I like the unique sector SYZ operates in and its growth potential, but I am losing patience and wondering if it is time to move on. If I sold SYZ I would add to my other Canadian software holdings, namely OTEX, ENGH, TCS and AIF, but I hesitate because SYZ provides diversification and may yet turn around. As always, I welcome your insight.

Q: Hold the above securities in TFSA account held by my 89 year old parent. EMP.A (-25%)and ENGH (-51%) and am now trying to decide if I should add to them or move on to something with a better future prospect ( a suggestion with be appreciated). TOU has a small positive return at this time but was thinking of replacing it with CNQ - your thoughts. Some other holdings in the account include BAM, BN, CM, BEPC GSY, JWEL. Please deduct as many credits as many credits as appropriate.

Thank You
