Q: Good morning, could you please identify 8 "safer" companies you see at or close to the bottom of their trough at this time that have a dividend (% of dividend does not matter)? For example my guess would be CNR which was at $178 in March 2024 and now at $135 with a yield of 2.63% at this price.
Thx,
Kevin

Q: Hi !

I refer to your monthly section of "best stocks ideas"

What are we to read in your selections: best value presently, ? best long term value ? best buying opportunity now ? best undervalued stocks ? best growing potential short term ? best long term growth ? best total income ?

It would be most helpful to know exactly what you mean by your best stock ideas.

Gratefully,

Jacques IDS

Q: I am about to clean up my registered accounts and am wondering if any of the following units which are all down at least 5% should be sold: BCE, AW, XPF, CPD, NWH.UN, DIR.UN and TXF? I have owned these stocks for some time for income but if you think their prospects are limited, I would be content to sell them and reinvest the money elsewhere.

Q: Hello 5i,

We are looking at our fixed income and dividend portion of our portfolio. Dividend stocks are 6% of our overall portfolio.

Bam 3.19%
AW 2.59%
BEPC 5.41%
DIR 6.69%
NTR 3.95%

We want to add another 2% to dividend stocks. Add equally to the above or, add ZEB or CDZ?

Thank you
D&J

Q: As recommended at the time, I just left my AW.ca stock when they did a corporate action. Now I am down significantly. Not sure if I should sell -I have some in a TFSA and some in a non-registered acct. Would it be wise to sell them both and then re-buy if market corrects or move on if it doesn't? I'm at more of a real loss in my TFSA, where it would seem now it doesn't need to be. I tend to just hold through volatility but would like to clean this up. Thanks.

Q: For some diversification along with some income I’m debating adding a bit more food service industry. I already own a half position of AW but would consider adding another half of same or go with a different half such as PZA, KEG.UN, BPF.UN, or SRV.UN. Thoughts

Q: With the pull-back, I want to take positions in the above at an appropriate weighting for a long term hold - the Canadian holdings and NVDA at full position, the others at 2-3%. Could you mark them at todays levels as buy, partial buy, watch or don't buy, and make any appropriate back-up comments. Thank-you!
