Q: I have a > 50% loss on NVO in an RSP, so I'm unable to harvest the tax loss. Do you feel I would break even faster if I, held, sold and bought a US dollar health ETF or LLY? I'm starting to think healthcare ETF, as if I pick the wrong horse, I can end up in the same situation again. What are your recommendations? Healthcare fits in best for my portfolio weightings.

Thanks

Q: Overall, my portfolio is very balanced, but I have gone with higher growth in my TFSA. I hold GOOG, META, NVDA, NBIS, BN, AXON, MELI, LMN, and ZEO. What is the max percentage of the TFSA that you would hold in GOOG and NVDA? Could you suggest some new stocks with good momentum that would balance out my holdings? Thanks.

Q: The sector rotations in the markets are wreaking havoc on my portfolio balance, mostly in a good way. The healthcare sector overall is down and the limited successes seem expensive. Also, the US government is pushing pharma to reduce their margins.
Do you feel that it is a good time to invest in healthcare and if so could you recommend stocks and etfs for broader exposure? For years, the etfs seem to have underperformed.

Thank you!

Q: So many members ask questions where they ask you to rank a number of companies which they suggest. Let me change that up a. bit. Please rank the top 10 Canadian companies that YOU think have the best chance of yielding the highest returns for 5i members In 2026. Perhaps an unfair question but I"m curious.

This was a question asked earlier which seems quite popular. Can I ask the same question for US stocks
Thanks

Q: I just sold a position in Regeneron, and I am looking to replace it with another name in the healthcare space. I already hold ISRG, but I am reticent to add to it while it seems to trade sideways. Lilly has performed well, but I am unsure if it is now fully valued.A recent interviewee on CNBC had mentioned Amgen and Gilead as names which could do well. Any suggestions for names to consider in the healthcare space? I’d be okay with both Canadian and US names. Thanks so much, and I look forward to your response.

Q: Hello 5i Team,

Given the current pull-back in the market, could you please provide your 6 highest conviction Canadian or US stocks (ranked in order) for (i) small-cap, (ii) mid-cap, and (iii) large-cap companies considering a 3+ year hold.

Thanks in advance for your always helpful advice!

Q: Greetings,

Is the sell off in NOVO Nordisk warranted? Seems a bit harsh me thinks.

Just when the stock was pulling out of a tax loss selling nose dive, it now seems to have run out of gas and is falling again.

1) Should we view such a steep drop as possibly an over reaction? Should we wait to see if a bottom forms before stepping in? Buy, sell or hold?

2) I know 5i favours Eli Lilly but has most of the growth already taken place or do you predict even higher altitudes? Buy now or wait for a dip?

Cheers
A

Q: "Trade Rationale - We continue to like KXS over a long-term holding, but amid the sell-off in software names, KXS has been hit, and while we think it can eventually recover, it may take some time. At this time, we are looking to reduce the size of the position in favour of adding to other names which we think have better secular tailwinds. "

is what 5i said in your recent market rundown piece. Just wondering what stocks or sectors you would be thinking of in particular, US and Canadian?

thanks as always

Q: I have a LIRA account and don’t plan to make any withdrawals for the next 15 years. I’m looking for “buy-and-hold” stock and/or ETF investment ideas that would suit this long-term timeframe.

I’m open to a mix of individual stocks and ETFs, across both Canadian and U.S. markets. Given the long horizon, I’m comfortable with experiencing periods of market volatility.

Any additional suggestions on how you would approach this situation if it were your own account would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you

Q: With the weight loss drugs now moving into pills, it seems like they will be even more popular. Do you have any suggestions of specific companies whose stock will benefit from this going forward. Or has this horse already left the barn.
