Q: Hello, I saw that there are seven new CDRs from CIBC: Verizon, McDonald's, Nike, Starbucks, Coca-Cola, United Health, and Cisco. Without going into the CDRs versus buying on American exchanges debate, I am curious to know if some of these stocks are worth buying today, which ones, the reason why and in what order (from most compelling to least)., presumably for a 5-year holding period. Thanks.
Q: Given your recent answer regarding CROX, I had a look at the sector and noticed big moves yesterday. Also many of these are very near lows for the year. My question is would you put money to work in the sector now? Do you have a few favourites and is there an ETF that emphasizes this retail/clothing part of consumer discretionary as opposed to something like XLY which emphasizes very different segments? Thank-you again.
Q: I am considering positions in the attached companies. Are current prices good entry points and are there any of these companies you would not purchase today?
Q: I have about $100K to invest in the US stock market to bring my portfolio closer to my intended US weighting, and I am looking for some US stock/ETF ideas.
My portfolio is already 25% Technology, and 16.5% Financials. So I don't need suggestions from those sectors. I was considering more VFV, but that has 25% Technology in it already, so maybe an ETF to complement that.
Can you suggest some US stocks that are not in the Technology or Financial sector that you would consider for a US style model portfolio. And also some ETFs holding US stocks that are light in Technology and Financials.
Q: Making some adjustments based on portfolio analytics.
Whats your best growth suggestions for:
Health care (us/ international)
Industrial (us/ international)
Consumer defensive (us/ international)
Consumer cyclical (us/ international)
And what is your favorite way to add a fixed income component?
Take appropriate credits as nessacary.
Thx for the great service.
Q: Hi 5i - From the following 9 US stocks - which 3 would you have the highest conviction for (with a short why for each): AFRM, ABCL, GOOG, AAPL, COST, CRWD, FLGT, NVDA, NKE
Q: Would you consider the sell of in Nike to be a buying opportunity of was there something in the quarterly results that would make you stay away for now?
Q: 1. I am currently holding BKNG and wonder if either NKE or SBUX would be a better position for a retired somewhat conservative investor?
2. What are your views comparing ROKU and DIS?
Thanks for your help.
Q: Hello guys,
I was hoping you could rate the current buy-ability of these industrial discretionary companies (byd, doo,mg,tt,sis) and of these clothing discretionary companies (goos, lulu, nke, atz) with 10 being a great buy, for new money. Any concerns, and is there anything similar that you like better?
Q: I'm looking at the rebound in these tech and consumer discretionary stocks and wondering whether you have a preference for some of these companies over others. Could you please rank your favourites based on risk/reward to buy now, and would you recommend trading any to exchange for others? I have holdings in most.
Q: Happy Easter everyone, I wanted to get your thoughts on the recent earnings for LULU if you would be a buyer at the $300 level . Additionally with the reopening in view what are your thoughts on Nike and Under armer as well? I feel that with the nicer weather and lifting of restrictions people might start thinking about getting back into shape before everything reopens.
Q: Current market volatility has me seeking companies that have 'wide moats' making them somewhat less susceptible to market noise. I would appreciate it if you would suggest the names of some American companies that you would consider to be 'wide moat' types of companies. If there are some that currently provide value this would be a bonus.
