Q: What are currently your two favourite consumer staple companies (either US or Can)?

Q: Good Morning, I am under weight in base material and Consumer defensive. My list of current holding is below. I am looking to put some money in these sectors to bring my sector allocation as suggested by your Portfolio Analytics.
The time period to hold is long term 5 year plus. Growth stocks preferred. Kindly recommend

1. Should I add to current position or if there are better opportunities kindly recommend them
2. If some of these needs to be replaced with better growth stocks , kindly suggest the same

Q: My virtual 'conservative growth' portfolio has the above 10 stocks in equal wights. What two stocks would you add to round it out please? Please assume that I have 45% outside of this portfolio in fixed income. Are 12 stocks enough in your view? I understand this answer may have been asked but I'm unable to locate your answer. If one was concerned about inflation what would be your sectors of choice to invest in? Additionally, can you kindly mention 5 stocks in both CDN and the US that may potentially help guard against inflation?

Q: It seems to me that going forward inflation worries are real. Assuming my thesis is correct, I have read that one way for investors to protect their portfolios is to buy companies with "pricing power". What exactly is pricing power and can you give me a list of Canadian and American companies that currently have the most pricing power.

Q: I have about $100K to invest in the US stock market to bring my portfolio closer to my intended US weighting, and I am looking for some US stock/ETF ideas.

My portfolio is already 25% Technology, and 16.5% Financials. So I don't need suggestions from those sectors. I was considering more VFV, but that has 25% Technology in it already, so maybe an ETF to complement that.

Can you suggest some US stocks that are not in the Technology or Financial sector that you would consider for a US style model portfolio. And also some ETFs holding US stocks that are light in Technology and Financials.

Q: Your Portfolio Analyzer tells me that I need more 'Healthcare" since I only have UNH and Well. Can you suggest an addition?

It also noted that I have zero consumer defensive. Can you suggest two for this sector.

A further note was being over weight in Canada.

I use the US side of my portfolio mainly for growth opposed to CDN for income and some growth. Thinking of a switch from docu to affirm looks like good money to be made in this one. Can you give a comparison between the 2 and do you think affirm is a better investment now?
