Q: We hold the following in a registered US$ 'growth' account . The list shows % each represents of our total US/CAN portfolio and current Gain/Loss position.
1. Anything in this list that you would toss out ?
2. With QCOM nearing 5% of portfolio and 100% gain, am thinking of reducing back to 2.5 and redeploying. Your thoughts on what to add to with proceeds – if anything ?
Q: It looks to me that some good stocks are being thrownout because of fear if you agree which stocks are good buys, not only technologies but others too.
Q: Can you please provide a few US and Canadian companies that are not traditional growth or tech companies, but represent deep value at this time. Bonus if they pay a dividend as well.
Q: We hold the following in a registered/US$ account . The list shows % each represents of our total portfolio and current Gain/Loss position. Considering selling U and redeploying into one or more of the names already held in US$ account.
1. Are there others that you would consider selling ?
2. Your thoughts please on which, if any, of the existing positions to re-deploy into, OR should the cash be held for later use ?
Q: What are a few smaller/aggressive growth-oriented names in Canada and the US that you think have the potential to work out quite well w/ a 5+ year timeframe, and that are not too likely to go out of business in a prolonged recession?
You are often asked if you could provide 2-3 "bargains" from the various portfolios - could you, given the current environment, provide
- 2-3 from the balanced / Income portfolios
- 2-3 outside of the portfolios (either Canadian or US please)
That you would consider a good opportunity to pick up at this time.
Q: Hi Guys
I just purchased a 1/3 position in Crox . Can you tell me what their Debt/cashflow ratio will be after the purchase of HeyDude footwear?
Thanks Gord
Q: May you please comment on earnings ?
Does this reaffirm your bullish thesis ?
What level of confidence do you have in the stock? And Just for kicks, what price range would you see it at in three years ?
Thank you
Q: Given your recent answer regarding CROX, I had a look at the sector and noticed big moves yesterday. Also many of these are very near lows for the year. My question is would you put money to work in the sector now? Do you have a few favourites and is there an ETF that emphasizes this retail/clothing part of consumer discretionary as opposed to something like XLY which emphasizes very different segments? Thank-you again.
Q: Good Morning,
Have you identified any new growth stocks in U.S./CDN outside the 5i growth portfolio that have you excited on their long term growth potential?
Thanks
Q: In a taxable well diversified account would you take a loss on SQ to buy PYPL or any other US stock in which case please make 3 suggestions. Currently hold AAPL, GOOG, CRWD, CROX. Looking for growth with medium risk. I'm a patient investor but could use some capital loss this year.
Q: I own 18 US Stocks and have losses in the following 6:
1) D.R. HORTON is down 13%
2) ULTRA CLEAN HOLDINGS is down 23%
3) CROCS is down 43%
4) QUIDEL is down 47%
5) CO-DIAGNOSTICS is down 59%
6) FULGENT GENETICS is down 11%
My Portfolio is 20% in cash so I can take advantage when a particular stock is down for no good reason.
All the above are small holdings, and therefore I am able to easily lower the % loss by adding to my holdings, and hoping that once the market recovers, I can sell them for a smaller loss.
Which of the above would you add, and your reasons why ?
Which of the above would you sell, and the reasons why ?
Q: Have some cash in my US $ portfolio and am considering these 6 stocks.
1) Are there any that you would want to buy at this time ? If so, would you consider them primarily to be a shorter time hold to take advantage of near term bounce, or do you see them as having the potential for both short and long term strength ?
2) Of those you would want to buy – if any - could you rank the order in which you would buy and acceptable price range.
As always, thank you .
