Q: I am overweight in oil and I am looking to trim. What is your assessment of the companies above? Which of the companies would you least favor for long term potential and therefore trim from the most? As always, thank you for your excellent service.

Q: you recently answered a question on august 13 about higher / better / safer quality dividend stocks with yields in the 3-5 % range (vs going after yields over 6 %).

What would you consider to be the top 10 of this 3-5 % yield higher quality dividend stock category?

Q: hi 5i,
NTR,T,MG? I own these blue chip laggards. can you recommend them as BUY,HOLD, or SELL please. If any are a sell, could you suggest a few replacement names (CDN) with similar dividend yield and more (hopefully) share price growth potential? I am fine holding all for long term if you think the weakness is just cyclical.
cheers, Chris

Q: The more growth portion of my cash portfolio ( which is full of financials, utilities etc) now consists of BN, GSY and LMN and have been very happy with them ( thanks to you).

Now am looking at one of the 3 highlighted companies. I have not been in oil for years and do not see the price of oil being in an upward trend , however CNQ seems to be favoured by many analysts. I am impressed with TFII earnings in a sector that is experiencing softness. FSV , again , has reported good earnings with their newly acquired roofing business leading the way.

I suspect you would pick any of this 3 as my next acquisition. Should I throw a dart and see which one I hit or does one stand out from the others ?
Thanks. Derek

Q: Good morning,

I am thinking of adding Gibson Energy at an initial 1-2% weight. Looking for income, moderate dividend growth, and some price appreciation potential. I am a little light in the energy space with current holdings in CNQ/SU/WCP, and am hoping you will think this might be a decent addition.

Thoughts?

Thanks as always.

Any thoughts or concerns ?

Thanks
