Q: What are you thoughts on thermo fisher for a long term hold. It seems like the magna of health care industry providing products for making drugs without the risk of drugs going of patent . They also make some drugs on limited runs for companies. How do these companies do in a rising interest rate world if that does come to pass.

Q: what are your thoughts on thermo fisher at current prices for a long term hold. I would like some health care exposure without drug specific concerns.
It seems to me that Thermo is the Magna of pharma and biotechs is that a fair comparison ?
As they produce all the products necessary and even produce drugs in small batches for some pharma companies.

Q: TMO is a company I’ve always admired and I see it’s back to November levels. Is it an opportunity here or has an issue arisen? If good, is it a worthy compliment to ABT and ABBV which I own in the health care sector? Thanks
Q: In light of recent announcements about the potential for a COVID-19 vaccine and given the extreme cold temperature required for the product's storage and transportation, which companies will benefit in terms of providing equipment required and/or logistics for distribution? Is there an opportunity here?

Q: I currently own both these 2 stocks for a 4% weight and have done well so far. I was wondering if I should sell 1 % of each and then buy MFST for a 2% weight. What do you think the comfortable weight of these 2 stocks should be? What % would you hold in a portfolio if 5i had a US portfolio? Do you feel that there is a better US stock than MFST for purchase at this time for a retired person?
Thanks

Q: Thinking about investment implications of this crisis. In a recent investigation by Assoiated Press it was reported that " The critical shortage of medical supplies across the U.S. (Canada?), including testing swabs, protective masks, surgical gowns and hand sanitizer, can be tied to a sudden drop in imports, mostly from China". Do you think there will now be a new emphasis on domestic manufacture and if so where might one find the companies that would benefit?
Thanks
Mike

Q: I own SYK. My broker has suggested switching it to MDT or TMO.

Q: I have held MO for over 10 years. It's done very well for me - tripled in value plus dividends. But it's probably time to move on. Traditional tobacco product sales are declining rapidly (not a bad thing to be honest) and investments in JUUL and Cannibis are probably years away from potentially paying off. I'm comfortable with my portfolio make up except for healthcare, which i have no exposure to. I've been looking at ISRG, TMO, BSX and BDK. I'm leaning towards ISRG based on their balance sheet (lots of cash, very little debt),market position, and potential growth but it seems to be in the doghouse after an earnings miss last quarter and it looks expensive on a fwd P/E basis. That said I don't mind paying up for quality. Your thoughts on ISRG or maybe one of the other stocks I listed? Deduct as many credits as you see fit. Thanks in advance.
Q: I currently own Cott on the US exchange and my PA states that I need to decrease my consumer cyclical and need to increase healthcare .I curently own TMO and thought I would sell Cott and buy more TMO as my weight in TMO is not very high. I would have a capital gain on Cott that I have to pay but in the longer term do think this is a good move?
Thanks

Q: I have read today the Morningstar Credit report. I own 10K and made 23% so far :-)
Their leverage scares me, gone much higher since your last opinion on TMO, while they only have 600 mill in cash. Can I stay or sh I sell out.
