Q: I would like to buy two oil stocks with attractive valuations and good returns in 2-3 years
They can be Canadian or US
Which two would you recommend ?
Would SLB or HAL be good choices at present valuations

Q: In a portfolio with banks at 42% (TD, and National), energy at 35% (TC, Sobo, and Tourmaline) and consumer discretionary 16% (ATD), what companies would you suggest diversifying into? This is my husband's account and he buys and holds. He will be selling Telus and needs some options for telecommunications and more. Could he be more diversified? He is asking my advice but I appreciate hearing from you.

Q: Notwithstanding the capital gains tax implications, would you kindly rank the above GAS and OIL stocks in order of PREFERENCE and SECTOR (Gas stocks and Oil stocks) to continue holding for the long term and to help me decide on which stock to sell in order to raise cash for an upcoming major purchase. Q: Would now be a good time to invest in Natural Gas stocks? My thinking is that the commodity price is low, but demand should increase with increasing energy demands and the price in Canada should increase with the LNG terminal completing in 2025? Q: Hi,

If you were to add to one's existing positions, which order would you add for medium (3 yrs) and long (3-5 yrs) term. All of them have suffered from recent pull back.

Strangely my holdings in USD seem to have suffered more than than the same holdings in CAD. For example VRN/CVE. Is this due to arbitrage trades as you suggested in one of your previous answers to another subscriber? Or due to the vagaries in currency fluctuations?

Lastly, your top picks in O&G today?

Q: With lng Canada online soon, things are looking good in the years ahead for Nat gas Price in general but there is also a recession risk if we dont get a soft landing. My question is would you be confortable holding a full oil&gas positions atm or keep a decent cash position like mr. Buffet .
I'm not sure how big of an impact a recession might have on the Sector given whats ahead with current lng development and the Sector being already depressed as it is, how much further down could it go if we do get the recession

Q: I own all three of these companies and I am doing quite well with all three. I am up 20% on BIR, 10% on PEY and way up on TOU as I bought it in the $5.00 range back in the depths of the oil and gas collapse. TOU represents 6% of my portfolio while PEY and BIR are about 1% each. I LOVE my dividends…….do I continue to hold all three or consolidate into TOU? After TOU’s takeover of CR, is one or both of BIR and PEY next?

Q: Hi Group i am treating the above stocks as core positions. I am concerned that some of the list are taking big hits so should i take profits while there is still some $ left in the black . FFH is an example where my profits was 40% now less than 10% ? (this is my worst performer so please answer specifically what you suggest buy, sell or hold). . Q: Dear 5i team.

I took a small position in TOU a few weeks ago for the income, and possible capital appreciation. It's gone south consistently for the past few weeks, so my capiatal loss far exceeds any income thus far. I know my timing has not been great, but is this the beginning of a down cycle, or do you think the propects of a bounce at some point is in the cards.
I'd like to hold this for a few years, but stumbling out of the blocks has me questioning my decision.
