Q: Hi Guys.

Looking to buy Raytheon on the setback but would prefer to buy the CDN Canadian Depository Receipt version. I just wonder if the CDR is too thinly traded to be "safe".

I own the CDR of Alphabet but it trades thousands of shares each day. The CDR of RTX sometimes trades no shares in a day so I don't even know where my bid should be to match the US version.

Are my fears real and any strategy to use to buy the CDN CDR or should I just but it on the NYSE?

Thanks so much

Stuart

Q: I like Keith Fitzgerald's investing philosophy - "invest in the best, not the rest".

Can you please provide me the best two within the following sectors (please provide your favourite of the two) ? NYSE or TSX-listed:

1. Within the Healthcare sector, I'm interested in specifically Diagnostics as a Service.

2. In the Defense sector. Two companies that continuously improve through technological innovation.

Q: Hello 5i,
I currently need to add a U.S. Industrial in a RRIF, so yield is very important - as is overall safety. I need to increase Industrials by about 3.0 % and increase my U.S. holdings by 4.5 % so an equity suitable for a larger weighting would be ideal. My other industrials are EIF and SIS.
I have been looking at Raytheon, Ryder, Lockheed Martin and A.O. Smith but was wondering if you have any other suggestions and how you would rank these for safety? If there is a name with a yield in excess of, say, 4.0% that you would be comfortable recommending, that would be ideal.
As always, many thanks for all of you invaluable assistance - it is always very much appreciated!!!
Cheers,
Mike

Q: Good Morning,

As the market gets beaten down yields on some very good companies are becoming difficult to ignore.

With a recession in sight yields could possibly get even better.

I am retired and an income investor sitting on substantial cash.

What would be your preferred course of action at this time?

What companies would be most attractive to you?

Thanks

Q: I am in my 80's and am changing my investment philosophy.
Can you suggest 6-8 stocks US or Can that would be in a solid l-o-n-g term growth and income portfolio. I would particularly like stocks that have recently been a little soft.
Thanks
PB

What is the teams opinion of ESLT compare to the other majors in this field. Also please include thoughts on LMT, GD,RTX, and the TSX traded MAL.
