Q: Good Morning Everyone,

I’ve heard a stat that claims that ~80% of the returns since “liberation day” have come from 10 stocks. (MAG 7, PLTR, ORCL, AVGO)
Is this true? Is this unusual?

May I have 10 each of your favourite CAN and US value stocks to look at please?

Thank you!

Q: Hello 5i Team,

For a long-term hold, focusing on total return, ignoring sector diversity, and considering a medium-to-high level of risk, could you please provide your 12 highest conviction small/mid-cap U.S. stocks at this time, ranked in order.

Thanks in advance for your always helpful advice!

Q: Good Afternoon,

After reading the recent report updates, I followed 5i and sold my share in ATS. Besides some shares in AC, I have very little exposure to industrials. Just looking for advice on U.S. or Canadian industrial share(s) I should consider. Any ETFs?

Regards,

Ryan

Q: Hi Everyone,

Can I ask your favourite (3-5 names) US Industrials names right now and a brief statement why? I'm not concerned about the tariffs or recession possibility, but rather wondering what do you see as some great opportunities right now that have serious potential beyond the current situation.

VRT is my only US "Industrial" at present.

Thank you!

Q: Which tax loss proxies would you suggest for the following companies?
Are there some that you would rather stay in cash for a month or just sell out right and buy something unrelated?
I am a bit hesitant to sell BN,GOOG and AMZN for a tax loss as I feel they have the most bounce potential on good news. What do you think of that?

Q: Hi, holding a few of these losers now in my non registered accounts - they were nice winners just a short time ago. What are the best proxies for these as a tax loss strategy? If my holding is CAD and the proxy is US, should I convert CAD funds to buy US or avoid these situations? Also, at what $ or price % loss would you consider doing these tax loss trades? Thanks!

Q: Only within the last two months we were at record highs, now we’re in a bear marker for the Nasdaq and S&P nearing one. Futures are selling off again here Sunday night. US administration is digging the heels in on these tariffs.

What are your thoughts on the Trump and Fed put? If they don’t change course soon, the economy is going into a recession and midterms next year will be ugly for the GOP. Looking back at all previous crises, what do you think will happen in the next 6-12 months and what’s the game plan? VIX at these levels and large consecutive down days have resulted in nice future returns 1,3,5 years out. Let’s say you had 100k to invest now, how would you deploy over the upcoming weekly or monthly interval? Which 5 CDN and 5 US stocks would you continue to buy on any weakness, assuming only market related? Thank you!

Q: Are you still long term bullish on either TT or URI? I've been comparing these two companies for an industrial add.

TT is significantly larger, however URI seems to have better historical revenue CAGR, stronger EPS growth, and better margins, with a significantly lower forward earnings multiple and historically significantly more FCF per share.

What's your opinion on URI at these levels? With all the discussion about re-shoring manufacturing and data centre build-outs do you like URI's future prospects?

Or is TT better suited to capitalize on these trends I mentioned above in addition to the increasing need for HVAC in a volatile climate?

Why is the market assigning a significantly higher premium to TT over URI?
Any other industrials I should be considering?
