Q: I have TTD, PLTR, NVDA, PLTR, NVDA, CRWD, APPS, UCTT, CELH, AFRM, MTTR, UPST, VEEV, in my US account, and LSPD, SHOP, EGLX, TIXT in my Canadian (and holdings in other sectors, but these are the holdings in question). I don't need to sell anything, but don't have new funds to deploy in the low market. I had a lot of positions in tech going in and already thinking about consolidating the sector when the market turned. I wonder if you see anything that should be sold, and added to something else to maximize growth when the market turns good again, or if it is better not to shuffle at this point.

Can you rank the following in order of preference: Shop, NVDA, Topicus, Xebec , Unity, Lightspeed, Enthusiast Gaming.
Are there any in that list that should be sold off?

Q: Hi Team,
I am an aggressive investor, which paid off lovely in 2020, but now am being crushed. I hold the following stocks (with weightings in brackets) in total in my brokerage accounts. Could you have a quick look and tell me how this basket looks "In general"? And if you see this basket doing well over the longer term (say 5-10yr hold), pointing out any suggested changes you would make, if any are "sells" or worth switching out. Note that if I sell any GSY it would incur tax (the weighting is large because the position has grown and have been a firm believer in the company as its valuation still looks cheap and am collecting a nice div off it as well). I am 42yrs old so retirement is a ways away and my goal is maximum returns with reasonable risk until retirement. Please deduct credits as required. Thanks

Q: Good day team. I own LSPD and follow KXS. As both are good companies I am thinking that one day I will either add to LSPD or open a position in KXS. The difficult part is comparing the value of these companies when they have negative earnings. Analysts often comment on the multiple of price to sales but this does not show up on a stock quotes. 1) is there an available source that provides this information, or 2) if I have to calculate it myself is the formula: stock price X shares outstanding divided by revenue?

I’m wondering if you prefer either one in terms of growth. With both having taken losses would now be a good time to buy? I’m considering holdings in each.

Q: Hello Peter and Team
I have above stocks in my TFSA account. I am down CAE 10%, NVEI 47%, ENGH 17%, KXS 24%, LSPD 12%, QIPT 18%.
Normally I will consider all of them as good growth stocks but with the rotation now hapening in the market, I am wondering if I should keep them for the next 12 months or I should switch to more value stocks.
I value you opinion

Q: Hi, Technology is the largest weight at about 45% ( even after the recent sell off) in our investment portfolio. Most of these holdings have been down 25-50% from the highs, over past 2-3 months, following the general market trend of indiscriminate selling in High multiple Tech stocks. LSPD and NVEI, of course, saw much steeper losses.
We do have the rest of the portfolio invested in Cdn large cap banks, industrials, utilities and telcos, generating decent dividend income.
We recently retired and as a part of portfolio planning/risk management, would like have a strategy to reduce the Technology weight to less than 35%, over next 2-3 years. The plan could be executed in phases, once the current tech rout is over and valuations have recovered.
From the perspective of risk, growth, stability and valuation, what would be the recommended/desired weighting for each company, balancing these factors. What would you suggest to be order of priority for the purpose of initiating sale of each stock. Also, it would be really helpful, if you could provide a reasonable price range for sale/trimming of these companies, based on price history and future expectation over 2-3 years.
CSU 14.5%
SHOP 9 %
TOI 5.2%
SYZ 3.5 %
LSPD 3 %
KXS 2.5%
NVEI 1%
US Large Cap Tech ( AAPL,AMZN,MSFT,MA,V,PYPL etc) 8% (we want to keep as is)
Thank You for your insight, which we value so much.

Q: Hi 5i,
I wrote inquiring about the above names mid week last week but didn't get an answer - I'm pretty sure i hit submit but possibly not.
I'm down on each - on some significantly - and was looking forward to a post tax loss selling bounce, but none came. In act, all but WELL were down on January 4 before the interest rate news hit on the afternoon of January 5, and all have continued to drop like stones since. I'm concerned that droppage would be happening even if the Fed hadn't scared people about interest rates, and I have the depressing feeling I own a basket of stone losers.
If I sell out of each now and put the funds into some good dividend payers like ENB, SU, POW, BNS I might (hopefully) recoup my losses or at least cut them considerably by this time next year.
For each of the names could you tell me if you think it's a good idea to punt now before further losses accumulate, or are there any that you think have a reasonable prospect of returning to their early to mid 2021 levels by the end of 2022.
I really will appreciate your thoughts and advice - feeling a little beaten up right now ...
Thanks,
Peter
