Q: TVK is down almost 20% YTD. I have held this stock for about 3 years and have done very well. Are you aware of anything stock specificate ? What are your thoughts? I hate to see my profits disappear.

Q: I have these small/mid caps in my portfolio for future growth. Any concerns with any of these? Please rank these for growth potential. I do realize GRID ZDC and ELVA are much smaller. Thanks Stephen

Q: You've mentioned a few times that TVK has higher debt levels. Generally I would take a pass on high debt but did buy some a while back and have done okay. Is there reason to be concerned by the level of debt today? Under what scenarios would it be a problem, and what are your thoughts on the likelihood of those scenarios?

Q: Terravest stock seems to be losing its lustre as a reliable compounder. Over past year, Co has not displayed much consistency with its earnings. One quarter is good then the next is not so much. Tariffs continue to haunt its prospects for growth and profitability.

Management has done well on acquisition front, but debts also continues to rise.

Stock has been in 5i portfolio for many years and has done well.

How many quarters, in your view, it could take for the Co to generate more confidence with investors ?

Q: What to do with $10864 in TFSA? At 74 years I exist on a public sector DB pension.

Transitioning my TFSA to be more growth focused. 14 holdings currently, major ones being BN, TRI, TFII, TVK, KXS, TOI, EQB, LMN, DSG, PNG, DRX, REAL, S, EGLX. Also have 41 equities in much larger balanced dividend growth non-reg account but Brookfield Group is pushing 15% of total portfolio with overall 65% Canada exposure. Overall below sector targets in consumer cycle, health, RE, Industrial, Utilities as well as International exposure.

Realizing you cannot get personal but I am looking for another viewpoint on how to use the funds in TFSA this year besides adding more Brookfield or software or financials. With available funds could only add 4 units of CSU anyway.

Wild few days in the market. As a stroke of luck, I transferred one of my managed accounts over so I could manage it myself, and that sale happened early last week and it is sitting in my account, ready to deploy. As a lucky tailwind, I don't want to squander it. Mostly in RRSP account.

Would you be adding to CLS, BAM, SHOP, TVK, PNG, ZDC right now? In order of priority please with a small 'why'.


I had purchased some AEM 1-2 years ago (great recommendation, thanks), and it has flown. Is it an add now and/or are there other Materials tickers you would suggest? Doesn't have to be precious, as long as they are executing well and have quality assets and a solid runway. maybe 1-2 each for precious, critical, and non-precious?

I sold TOI last summer, and with this crazy "Software off" cycle here, would you start accumulating? like 20 or 25% of a position? Is TOI the most likely candidate to return to its growth trajectory when the world begins to appear normal again?

PS. While looking at all my statements while transferring over to Questrade for their cashback promotion, my statements had my annualized returns calculated over 1 3 5 and inception. Since inception was 21% which I'm staked about, but my 3 year annualized was 43% !!! I just renewed my 4th year with 5i. Thanks Thanks THANKS!
