Q: It appears Canada has the potential to take a part in the EV revolution, yesterdays announcemenmt from Volkswagon regarding a possible gigafactory here, and this from todays FP, "Canada has seen at least 10 major electric vehicle-related commitments totalling close to $16 billion since the start of 2021 as federal and provincial governments work to secure investments in the rapidly-evolving sector." For fun lets say all this and more happens, which Canadian companies will have the most to gain?

With a supposed graphite supply shortage to the US in 2022, is there opportunity for Canadian mines to increase graphite mining and production? If so, what mines or producers could be a short or medium-term investment opportunity?

Thanks for the great work! What's your opinion on GraphiteOne? I'm seeing more and pieces commenting on increasing demand for North American sources of commodities (with graphite being one example).

Industrial usage of graphite seems to be gathering momentum. more products are released with graphite (anecdotally, I just bought a hammer at canadian tire with a graphite handle.
Furthermore, ''exotic'' metals (high tech) are gathering also momentum with investors, the likes of Cobalt, Kaolin, rhodium, REE, and many others as pure plays or transformed for new applications titanium with Pyrogenesis for example.
Graphene seems also to be of interest.
Mason graphite has made some headline lately,-Lac gueret has been recognised-I think in part because of the expertise of his CEO.
I was very early some years ago and started to come back.
